METHOD FOR PREPARING COMPACT OF RESIN COMPOUND HAVING ANISOTROPY

A method for preparing a compact of resin compound comprising the following steps (a) to (c): (a) a preparation step of mounting a sheet-shaped or block-shaped compact of resin compound including a resin composition, which contains a filler having magnetic anisotropy and is solidified by curing or by being advanced to a B-stage, on a transportation unit which is movable in the horizontal direction, and covering at least a top surface of the compact of resin compound with a cover material; (b) a step of applying a magnetic field to the compact of resin compound obtained in the step (a) with a bulk superconductor magnet having a central magnetic flux density of 1 T or more; and (c) a step of moving the compact of resin compound in the horizontal direction and scanning it while applying vibrations to the compact of resin compound mounted on a region of a central part of the bulk superconductor magnet under application of a magnetic field.

A composite material is formed by preparing mass particles consisting of a fibrous material at least partially derived from recycled post-consumer materials and preparing particles of a binding material consisting of a thermoplastic material at least partially derived from recycled post-consumer material. The prepared mass particles and particles of binding material are mixed together such that the binding material liquifies and coats the mass particles which are subsequently then pressed together to form a composite article in which the mass particles typically occupy between 35% and 60% by weight of the composite material and the binding material occupies between 40% and 60% by weight of the composite material. The composite material is suitable for replacing concrete, wood, or other construction, manufacturing or industrial materials, and possesses properties that in some applications may be equal or superior such materials.

In Line Edge-Sealing System & Method

An inline edge-sealing apparatus and method for sealing the kerf surfaces of cut cellular PVC board includes a rotary saw with either a tandem sealing disc or with an integral elevated sealing surface that is dimensioned to provide precise interference with kerf surfaces for friction and heat to melt and seal the surfaces in an aesthetically desirable manner. A kerf splitter, such as a kerf splitting pin, rod or riving knife, may be provided following a saw blade with integral kerf-engaging surface to avoid disruption of the sealed surface when cut boards exit the saw blade teeth.

A tire mold capable of improving the efficiency in mold production and tire production without compromising the aesthetic quality and performance of a tire after cure-molding. To that end, the tire mold has a hole that penetrates from the molding surface for molding a rubber article to the back surface, a core member that is disposed inside the hole and forms an air discharge flow channel annular in cross section extending along the extension direction of the hole between itself and the hole wall forming the hole, and an interlinking part for interlinking the hole wall and the core member.

METHOD AND SYSTEMS FOR APPLYING STRETCH FILMS/PLASTIC FILMS AT A CONTROLLED TEMPERATURE

A system for controlling the temperature of a film before and/or during application, the system including: a heat source for heating a film; and stretch rollers; wherein the heat source heats the film from an ambient temperature to a temperature from about 2 C. to about 40 C. above the ambient temperature, wherein the film is heated prior to or simultaneous to being stretched by the stretch rollers, and wherein the ambient temperature is below 15 C. The preheating system may be used to enhance binding and sealing properties of stretch films used for wrapping palletized products in a reduced temperature environment. Other embodiments of the preheating film system, and methods for its use, are described herein.
