Bending die
An object of the present invention is to provide a bending die that has a simple configuration and is capable of bending a rod-shaped body in a three-dimensional XYZ direction quickly and reliably, the bending die comprising a pair of forming dies clamped in a Z direction, wherein the forming dies have, respectively, rod-shaped body-forming recess portions, and rod-shaped body guide portions for guiding a rod-shaped body to the rod-shaped body-forming recess portions, the rod-shaped body-forming recess portions are each formed into a shape with a semicircular cross section that defines, between the forming dies when clamping the forming dies, a long, cylindrical cavity for forming the rod-shaped body bent in a three-dimensional XYZ direction, and the rod-shaped body guide portions are each formed into a V-shape that spreads outward from both sides of each of the rod-shaped body-forming recess portions having a semicircular cross section.
Curved catheter and methods for making same
A pre-curved catheter tube of a catheter assembly or other elongate medical device and methods for forming such a device using a heating procedure is disclosed. Pre-curving of the catheter tube is desirable to impart to the catheter assembly a desired positional configuration when the catheter assembly is inserted into a patient. The heating procedure may include heat sterilization procedures commonly used to sterilize medical devices prior to use. One method for curving a catheter tube of a catheter assembly includes constraining the catheter tube into a curved configuration using the tube constraint, heating the catheter tube in the curved configuration for a predetermined time at a predetermined temperature, and releasing the catheter tube from the tube constraint after the heating is complete.
METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING CONNECTOR-INTEGRATED RESIN TUBE
A method for manufacturing a connector-integrated resin tube includes: a fitting step in which an end portion of a resin tube material including a straight tube portion is fitted into an end portion of a connector of a tubular shape; a joining step in which the end portion of the resin tube material and the end portion of the connector that have been fitted are joined by laser welding; a heating holding step in which a posture holding die including a bending processing portion for bending processing of the straight tube portion is used to hold the straight tube portion in a heated and bent state at the bending processing portion of the posture holding die; and a cooling step in which the straight tube portion is cooled.

THE APPLICATION OF THE 3D CAMERAS TO THE PROFILE BENDING PROCESS ON THE BENDING MACHINE WITH THREE AND FOUR ROLLERS
The application of the 3D cameras during the profile bending process on the bending machine with three and four rollers provides controlled management, regulation of control as well as correction of the bending process, where the application of the 3D cameras (1) and (2) provides a three-dimensional view of the bending process and each point of interest on the machine (3) and on the profile (4) is defined dimensionally and in space. Utilizing the 3D cameras (1) and (2) during the bending process the profile (4) is detected, thus implementing a feedback loop between the computer (7) controlling the bending process and the profile (4) bent on the machine (3). The feedback loop created with the application of the 3D cameras (1) and (2) provides information regarding the profile (4) bending process on the machine (3) and based on this information the computer (7) is able to manage, regulate and correct initiated profile (4) bending process in order to receive desired output at the end of the bending process, that is, the profile (4) bent to the pre-determined angle, radius or diameter.
Tapered implantable device and methods for making such devices
A tapered implantable device includes an ePTFE tubular member having a tapered length portion. The tapered length portion provides rapid recovery properties. The tapered length portion can feature a microstructure that includes a multiplicity of bent fibrils.
DEVICES, ASSEMBLIES, KITS, SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR SHAPING OF ELONGATED ELEMENTS CONTAINING THERMOPLASTIC POLYMERS
Devices, assemblies, kits, systems and methods for shaping of elongated elements containing thermoplastic polymers are disclosed.
Imprint mold manufacturing method
A method for manufacturing an imprint mold which can prevent accumulation of the transferring resin onto the transferring roll is provided. A method for manufacturing an imprint mold, including: a resin coating step to coat a photo-curing resin composition or a thermosetting resin composition onto a pattern transferring mold having a fine concave-convex pattern; and a transferring step to transfer the resin composition throughout the entire circumference of a cylindrical transferring roll and cure the resin composition so that a reverse pattern of the concave-convex pattern is formed throughout the entire circumference of the cylindrical transferring roll, is provided.

OPTICAL TUBE BENDER
A light guide bender (also referred to as an optical tube bender) is provided including an integrated bending mechanism that allows the surgical tube to be bent to the appropriate length (e.g., matching the retractor height). By bending the tube at an angle, potential obstruction caused by the optical fiber is reduced and the need to create various lengths of optical tubing is also eliminated. In one embodiment, the surgical tube may also include markings designating length of the surgical tube. For example, if 200 mm of surgical tubing is needed, then the marking for 200 mm can be located on the surgical tubing and the tubing can be bent at this location.
