Device for Attaching Mouthpiece to Innerliner of Aircraft Water Tank
When a cylinder portion of an innerliner is positioned inside a mouthpiece and when an upper mold and a lower mold are brought together, a projection portion is provided on an outer circumferential member of the lower mold that closes a gap between a section of an upper mold side positioning outer circumferential surface following on from an inner circumferential end of an outer abutting surface and a portion of the innerliner where an inner circumferential surface abuts. As a result, the portion of the innerliner that is thermally deformed is prevented from being displaced radially inward of the mouthpiece along a first annular surface.
Formed thermoplastic article having smooth edges
The disclosure relates to forming shaped thermoplastic articles having smooth peripheries. Many thermoplastic articles have sharp edges formed upon molding or cutting the article from a feedstock sheet. Such sharp edges can damage thin plastic films or flesh which they contact, and smoothing the edges is desirable. Described herein are methods of forming a smooth periphery for such sharp-edged articles by rolling over the sharp edge. The smoothing operation is performed by forming a deflectable flange including a bend region separated from the potentially sharp peripheral edge by a spacer, deflecting a portion of the deflectable flange, and softening at least one bent portion of the deflectable flange to yield a smooth periphery upon cooling.
Formed thermoplastic article having a smoothly-curved distal periphery
The disclosure relates to forming shaped thermoplastic articles having smooth peripheries. Many thermoplastic articles have sharp edges formed upon molding or cutting the article from a feedstock sheet. Such sharp edges can damage thin plastic films or flesh which they contact, and smoothing the edges is desirable. Described herein are methods of forming a smooth periphery for such sharp-edged articles by rolling over the sharp edge. A liner sheet may be attached to the feedstock sheet prior to, during, or after forming and can be peelable therefrom.
SHEET LAMINATE AND PRODUCTION METHOD FOR SHEET LAMINATE
A sheet laminate that can be easily affixed to a bonded surface and which can enhance handleability. The sheet laminate (1) includes a pair of sidewall parts (3), each extending toward the rear surface (2b) side from a pair of mutually opposing edges of the main body part (2). The pair of sidewall parts 3 have a curved shape projecting outward with respect to the main body part (2). Including such a sidewall part (3) makes it possible to affix the sheet laminate (1) to the B-pillar (50) by sandwiching the side surfaces (50b) of both sides of the B-pillar (50) having a bonded surface (50a) by using the curved shape of the pair of sidewall parts (3) while covering the bonded surface (50a) with the design surface of the main body part (2). As a result, the sheet laminate (1) can be affixed easily to the bonded surface (50a), which enhances handleability of the sheet laminate (1).

APPARATUS FOR THERMOFORMING PLASTIC CONTAINERS
An apparatus for thermoforming plastic containers (2) comprising at least one thermoforming device (3) suitable for thermoforming a flat sheet (4) for making a container (2) equipped with an upper flange (5) projecting outward and at least one extracting device (6) associable with the thermoforming device (3) for extracting the thermoformed container (2) from it; when the extracting device (6) is associated with the thermoforming device (3) for extracting the already thermoformed container (2), the extracting device (6) and the thermoforming device (3) define a perimetric mould (7) suitable for hot bending the annular flange (5) of the already thermoformed container (2) before it is extracted from the thermoforming device (3).
