Apparatus for forming curls
A curl-forming apparatus (1) includes: a main body (20) configured to deform a profile strip (100); and a support body (3) configured to support the main body (20) in a holding unit (4) for the profile strip (100). The profile strip (100) is helically wound on an inside of the holding unit (4). The main body (20) is disposed in a hollow part of the holding unit (4) and is configured to draw and deform the profile strip (100) inside the holding unit (4). The support body (3) is rotatable relative to the holding unit (4), and is configured to rotate about an axis of the holding unit (4) in synchronization with the main body (20) that draws the profile strip (100).

The invention is a mold (100) of an apparatus to produce plastic pipe that consists of the body (2) that has been supported to its place, the roll like roll organs (1.1) that have been supported to the body by the roll organs (3) that have been set to move the plastic pipe axially in its production process, additionally, it consists of at least four chain organs (1) the chains (1) of each of which consist of the mentioned roll organs and joints (1.4) between them where each chain has been set to go round at least two chain wheels (1.2, 1.3) and each joint has been supported at the ends of its axis (1.6) to at least two like conductors (1.7) that have been set to conduct the mentioned circular motion of the chain and the conductors of each chain organ contain a part that is essentially in the same direction as the center axis (C) of the mold and the roll organ center axes that are in the place of these parts are in the same center line as the mold center axis and the mentioned roll organs have been set to be in contact with the inside surface or the outside surface of the plastic pipe during the production of the plastic pipe and at least one chain wheel of each chain organ has been set to be powered to rotate by motor power around its axis at such a speed and in such a direction that the roll organs that are in chain in the before mentioned position are able to move in the direction of the production of the plastic pipe at its production speed.
PIPE-FORMING APPARATUS FOR SPIRAL PIPE AND PIPE-FORMING METHOD THEREOF
A pipe-forming apparatus with which a spiral pipe can be formed using a simple configuration without an inner periphery restriction body. A driving part (10) of a pipe-forming apparatus (3) presses a following strip portion (92) toward a pipe end portion (91e) of a preceding spiral pipe portion (91) obliquely with respect to a machine-height direction HD. A pipe end guide is constrained in a machine-width direction WD with respect to the pipe end portion, and slidably engaged in a propelling longitudinal direction LD. A pressing force for the following strip portion provides a fitting force between the following strip portion and the pipe end portion, and a propelling force for forward propulsion. A pipe is formed in a state where a part other than a partial part at which the pipe-forming apparatus is provided in a circumferential direction of the pipe end portion is released from the pipe-forming apparatus.

The invention provides methods and apparatus for producing a spirally wound pipe or pipe liner, and also to a web for forming a spirally wound pipe or pipe liner. One aspect of the invention provides a method and an associated machine of winding a helically wound pipe from a web (200) having transversely spaced apart connecting formations (310, 320) adapted to interlock when the web is wound in a helical path and adjacent edge portions (300a. 300b) of the web overlap one another, wherein an exterior support means (400) for the connecting formation at the terminus of the pipe being helically wound from the web is provided, and a radially outwardly directed force is applied against an inner face (220) of the web and the support means (400) to pinch connecting formations into interlocking engagement. A further aspect of the invention provides an elongated web (200) comprising a wall portion (210) bound by edge portions (300a. 300b) and adapted to form a pipe by spirally winding said web and joining adjacent said edge portions, wherein a distal end of joined edge portions (330) of the web projecting from the wall portion (210) of the web is less than a spacing distance defined by a spacer rib (350) projecting from the wall portion, when the web is spirally wound and adjacent edge portions are joined together.

Expandable tacky tape
In the manufacture of composite product, raw composite is layered on a shape or form and cured at a higher temperature. With some shapes, it is difficult or impossible to apply sufficient pressure to force and consolidate the composite material to adequately conform to the desired final shape during the curing process. The expandable tacky tape of this invention is comprised of a viscous medium incorporating thermally expandable material. Applied over the raw composite, the expandable tacky tape effectively forces the composite to conform to the desired shape during curing.
