INDUCTION WELDING WITH AN ELECTROMAGNETIC FIELD CONCENTRATOR
During a manufacturing method, an induction welder is provided that includes a concentrator and a coil extending through a receptacle in the concentrator. The receptacle projects into the concentrator from a face surface of the concentrator. A first thermoplastic body arranged with a second thermoplastic body are provided. The first thermoplastic body is located next to the face surface. The first thermoplastic body is induction welded to the second thermoplastic body to provide a weld seam between the first thermoplastic body and the second thermoplastic body. The concentrator extends along a portion of the weld seam. The induction welding includes: generating an electromagnetic field with the coil; and concentrating a portion of the electromagnetic field with the concentrator onto a region of the first thermoplastic body.
Laser welding system and method using machined clamping tool
A laser welding system for joining first and second thermoplastic workpieces, and including a clamp, an actuator, and a laser source. The clamp includes first and second clamping structures positioned together to engage opposite sides of the workpieces when they adjoin each other. The first clamping structure has a non-flat or irregular surface, facing the first workpiece. The actuator causes the clamping structures to press the first and second workpieces together. The laser source applies laser radiation having a wavelength of 2 microns toward the workpieces to be joined, while they are pressed together by the clamp, to melt irradiated portions of the workpieces to one another. The first clamping structure transmits substantially all of the energy of the laser radiation through the material. The first workpiece has a non-flat or irregular surface facing the first clamping structure, which substantially conforms with the surface of the first clamping structure.
Protective film and method for peeling release layer thereof
Disclosed is a protective film, which includes: a protective film sheet; a protective layer; and a release layer, a lead tab is connected to an end part of the release layer, and a positioning mechanism is arranged on the protective layer to align the protective film sheet with a screen of an electronic device.
METHOD FOR EVALUATING AN ASSEMBLY BY WELDING OF PARTS BASED ON THERMOPLASTIC MATERIALS
The present invention relates to a method for evaluating an assembly by welding of parts made of thermoplastic materials, to a test piece and its associated uses, to an installation for implementing this method and to the associated welding system.
METHOD OF MAKING ZIPPER POUCH
Provided is a process for preparing a zipper pouch, wherein the process comprises: A) forming a first laminate by a process comprising i) bringing together a polyisocyanate component and a polyol component to form an adhesive composition, ii) applying a layer of the adhesive composition to a layer of polyethylene terephthalate, iii) then contacting the layer of the adhesive composition with a layer of polyethylene having thickness of 80 micrometer or more; B) contacting a polymeric zipper construction to the first laminate at temperature of 200 C or higher. Also provided is a zipper pouch made by that process.
METAL-RESIN JOINT AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING METAL-RESIN JOINT
There are provided a metal-resin joint having high bonding strength and a manufacturing method thereof. A metal-resin joint 10 of the present disclosure includes an anchor portion 34 provided on a metal bonding surface 32 of a metal member 30. The anchor portion 34 has a pair of protrusion strips 35 and 35 protruding from the metal bonding surface 32 with a gap, a recessed groove 36 provided between the pair of protrusion strips 35 and 35, and a plurality of partitions 37 protruding from a groove bottom of the recessed groove 36. The plurality of partitions 37 are provided to be inclined toward one side Y1 in a direction in which the pair of protrusion strips 35 and 35 extend as going toward a distal end side, and to be side by side in a direction Y in which the pair of protrusion strips 35 and 35 extend.
Method of making a barn curtain with joined panels
A barn curtain having a transparent panel and a non-transparent panel is prepared by a welding machine. The welding machine has an inner heater assembly including a first roller wheel, an inner plate assembly having a lower inner plate and an upper inner plate spaced apart from the lower inner plate in a vertical direction, and a heater, and a first roller assembly including a second roller wheel aligned with the first roller wheel. A side of a transparent panel is fed through the lower inner plate and a side of a non-transparent panel is fed through the upper inner plate. The plates are heated with the heater to partially melt the side of the transparent panel and the side of the non-transparent panel. The side of the transparent panel and the side of the non-transparent panel are pressed between the roller wheels and joined.
Process for pick and place of electronic components in a vacuum
A process for placing a circuit array on a sheet having adhesive during a pick and place operation in which a vacuum is used during its placement to minimize air bubbles between the adhesive layer and the circuit array.
THREE-DIMENSIONAL DECORATIVE PIECE AND METHOD OF PRODUCING THE SAME
A three-dimensional decorative piece that is made of a thermoplastic synthetic resin and can retain bulkiness and shape by a core and a method of producing the same. The three-dimensional decorative piece includes an upper layer molded body made of an upper layer material with a metal vapor-deposited layer and having a three-dimensional shape with a convex portion formed on its front surface side through a high-frequency dielectric heating, a core formed by curing a flowable synthetic resin filled in the convex portion of the upper layer molded body, and a substrate bonded a back surface side of the core by fusion.
COMPOSITE PREPREG AND FIBER-REINFORCED PLASTIC MOLDED BODY
A composite prepreg and a fiber-reinforced plastic molded body are described that are excellent in secondary weldability with another member and exhibit excellent handleability and reinforcing characteristics, where the composite prepreg in which reinforcing fibers are impregnated with a thermoplastic resin and a thermosetting resin, and a thermoplastic resin layer and a thermosetting resin layer that form an interface and joined to each other are formed, wherein the thermoplastic resin layer is present on at least one surface of the composite prepreg, and the thermoplastic resin layer contains continuous reinforcing fibers.
