Microchip affixing probe and method of use
Provided among other things is a method of affixing a small, single chip to a plastic item, the chip having a top surface having length and width dimensions, and having a height, the method comprising: (1) vacuum adhering a top-oriented surface of the chip to a probe of outer dimensions comparable to or smaller than those of the length and width; (2) conveying heat to the chip via the probe such that a bottom-oriented surface of the chip is sufficiently hot to melt the plastic; (3) applying via the probe the chip to the plastic such that the chip embeds in the plastic; and (4) releasing the chip from the probe, wherein the largest of the length and width is about 500 microns or less, and height is no more than about the smallest of length and width.
Apparatus for producing and putting on gloves, method of producing and putting on gloves, and glove
The present invention provides an apparatus for producing and putting on gloves capable of producing gloves that fit an individual hand shape and also putting the glove on the hands, and a method for producing and putting on gloves. The apparatus for producing and putting on gloves comprises welding and cutting means which welds and cuts a first elastic film and a second elastic film at a position on the outer side of a contour of a user's hand in a state in which the user's hand is sandwiched between the first elastic film and the second elastic film.
Strapping method and apparatus
The invention relates to a method for producing strapping. A strapping band (4) is first guided about at least one packaging piece, tightened, and equipped with a closure at band ends (4a, 4b) to be connected in a closure unit (1). Furthermore, at least one sensor (7) connected to a control unit (8) is provided in the closure unit (1). One or more closure parameters are detected by means of the control unit (8) using the sensor (7), and the closure unit (1) is correspondingly actuated. According to the invention, the sensor (7) is designed as a load cell (7) which is let into a compression ram (6a, 6b) of the closure unit (1).
HEAT-SEAL DEVICE
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a heat-sealing device capable of preventing problems associated with cap sealing performance and/or sensation of the cap being open due to an inappropriate cap temperature. For this purpose, this heat-sealing device (10), which is used in a manufacturing apparatus (100) for manufacturing a product for which an opening part (1A: mouth part) of a container (1) is sealed with a cap (2), is provided with: a pressing plate (5) which is disposed on a path along which the containers (1) move; a heating unit (3) and sealing heads (4) for pressing the caps (2) sealing the container (1), the heating unit (3) and sealing heads (4) being arranged on the pressing plate (5); a temperature measurement device (7) for measuring the temperatures of the sealing heads (4); and a control device (8: control unit) for transmitting control signals to a container conveyance drive source (for example, inverter) in accordance with the measurement results from the temperature measurement device (7).
Method and system for forming packages
A method of sealing reinforced packages. The method can comprise moving an open-ended package in a downstream direction on a package conveyor by engaging the open-ended package with a chain flight of the package conveyor moving in the downstream direction. The method further can comprise forming a bag with a closed end by engaging at least a seal portion of a tail section of an open-ended tube portion of the open-ended package between the chain flight of the package conveyor and a hot plate positioned adjacent the package conveyor. The chain flight can move with the tail section in the downstream direction relative to the hot plate, which can transfer thermal energy to the tail section to at least partially form a seal along the seal portion in the tail section to at least partially form the closed end of the bag.
HEAT SEALING APPARATUSES AND METHODS OF USE THEREOF
A heating block assembly including one or more configurable insulator segments and a heater block having a first surface configured to removably receive the one or more configurable insulator segments, in which each of the one or more configurable insulator segments covers only a portion of the first surface. A method for sealing at least one portion of a package using such a heating block assembly is also disclosed.
A PROCESS FOR FORMING A CONTAINER
A process for forming a container from a blank, the process comprising the steps of: thermally inducing one or more fold lines on at least one surface of a container blank fabricated from a thermal insulation sheet material, wherein the blank comprises: a first panel portion; a second panel portion located adjacent the first panel portion and sharing a first common edge therewith; and a third panel portion located adjacent the second panel portion and sharing a second common edge therewith, the second common edge being substantially parallel to the first common edge, wherein the first panel portion and the third panel portion are each associated with a pair of flap members adapted for folding movement relative to the respective first and third panel portions such that, when assembled, each of the flap members overlies an edge of the second panel portion substantially perpendicular to the first common edge and the second common edge, folding the first panel portion of the container blank along a first fold line, wherein when folded, the first panel portion is substantially perpendicular to the second panel portion of the container blank; folding the third panel portion of the container blank along a second fold line, wherein when folded, the third panel portion is substantially perpendicular to the second panel portion and substantially parallel to the first panel portion; sealing a portion of each of the pair of flap members of the first panel portion to a portion of each of the pair of flap members of the third panel portion to form a side seam joint; and sealing a portion of the first panel portion adjacent the side seam joint and a portion of the third panel portion adjacent the side seam joint to an edge of the second panel portion to form a bottom seam joint.
Method for welding parts made of thermoplastic material
A method for welding at least two parts including a thermoplastic material and having respective surfaces to be welded, including: inserting an insert between the surfaces to be welded of the two parts; generating heat via the insert; wherein the insert moves in relation to the parts to be welded in a welding direction. Air cushion inflation machine
A machine converts a web of preformed pouches, which are defined by transverse seals extending from a remote edge, into inflated dunnage units. A sealing arrangement is positioned to provide a longitudinal seal intersecting the transverse seals to close the preformed pouches and form a dunnage unit. The sealing arrangement has at least two sealing belts. Each belt is positioned so that respective first sides engage a surface of the web and pull the web through sealing elements positioned on either side of the web. A heating element is on a second side of the first belt not engaging the web. A compliant material is on a second side of the second belt not engaging the web. As the web passes between the heating element and compliant material, imperfections in the web are smoothed by the compliant material and the layers of the web are sealed by the heating element.
