The method includes providing a plurality of solid fragments including at least one non-thermoplastic material. The method further includes providing a plurality of solid particles including at least one thermoplastic polymer and/or elastomer material, at least 75% of the solid fragments having sizes in a fragment size range from zero to 32 millimeters and at least 75% of the solid particles having sizes in a particle size range from zero to 1.5 millimeters. The method further includes forming a mixture of the plurality of solid fragments and the plurality of solid particles, the mixture including 90% to 20% of the fragments by volume and 10% to 80% of the particles by volume. The method further includes molding or extruding the mixture into a unitary element through the application of heat and/or pressure.

Magnet manufacturing by additive manufacturing using slurry

A magnet and a method of forming the magnet are provided. The method includes forming a slurry comprising magnetic powder material and binder material and creating raw layers from the slurry. A magnetic field is applied to the raw layers to orient the magnetic powder material in a desired direction, and each layer is cured to form another layer on the most recent cured layer. The layers are attached together.

RESIN COMPOSITION FOR FORMING MAGNETIC MEMBER AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING MAGNETIC MEMBER

The resin composition for forming a magnetic member of the present invention, which is used for a transfer molding, includes a thermosetting resin and iron-based particles, in which the iron-based particles include iron-based amorphous particles.

METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING MOLDING MOLD AND MOLDING MOLD
20220176620 · 2022-06-09 ·

A method for manufacturing a molding mold used in an injection molding apparatus includes: generating a first plasticized material by plasticizing a first shaping material containing an amorphous metal and a resin; and shaping a laminate that is a part of the molding mold by discharging the first plasticized material toward a stage to laminate a layer.

Injection-molded physical unclonable function

A physical unclonable function is disclosed. A highly random distribution of magnetic particles within a thermoplastic polymer is created by magnetizing magnetizable particles in solid pellet feed material before feeding the solid pellets into an injection molding machine. Other devices and processes are disclosed.

Binder-Free Friction Linings, Process for Their Production and Their Use
20230243395 · 2023-08-03 · ·

Expanded graphite and/or vermiculite are introduced into the friction lining mixture to eliminate or substantially reduce the amount of binder present therein. The friction lining at most contains from 2.5% by weight of binder. By omitting/reducing binder, the production is very stable and the friction linings can be easily reproduced. The process steps of hardening (including the hardening furnace) and scorching (including the necessary equipment) can be omitted when making such friction linings.

METHOD FOR GRANTING TO ORGANIC POLYMERS THE POSSIBILITY OF BEING DETECTED

The present invention relates to a novel method for conferring to thermoplastic, thermostable polymers or elastomers, magnetic, electromagnetic, electrical, X-ray shielding or density properties that allow the detection of said polymers by means of specific equipment that exists in the prior art. The detection of the thermoplastic polymers, thermostable polymers or elastomers in turn facilitates their location, removal or separation. The method is based on the addition of specific iron and silicon alloys with or without surface treatment.

THREE-DIMENSIONAL PRINTING WITH BLOCKED POLYISOCYANATES

The present disclosure describes three-dimensional printing kits, systems for three-dimensional printing, and methods of three-dimensional printing. In one example, a three-dimensional printing kit can include a particulate build material and a binding agent. The particulate build material can include metal particles. The binding agent can include a polyhydroxy polyol and a water-dispersible blocked polyisocyanate having multiple blocked isocyanate groups. The blocked isocyanate groups can include a blocking group bonded to the carbon atom of the blocked isocyanate group through a labile bond breakable by heating to a deblocking temperature. Breaking the labile bond can produce a released blocking group reacted with hydrogen and an isocyanate group.

Methods of installing tile using a reactivatable tile bonding mat

Exemplary methods for installing tile using a reactivatable tile bonding mat is disclosed. The reactivatable tile bonding mat is placed upon a substantially flat surface. Stone, porcelain or ceramic tile is placed and arranged on the reactivatable tile bonding mat in an aesthetically pleasing fashion, in some cases aided by the use of spacers in the joints between the sides of the tiles. Induction, or some other method of heat, is applied to the upper surfaces of the tiles, to quickly transfer through the tile, causing a polymer hot-melt material embedded in the reactivatable tile bonding mat to melt and adhere to a lower surface of the tiles, forming a strong bond. Upon the tiles fully bonding to the reactivatable tile bonding mat, spacers may be removed and a suitable grout may be applied in the joints between the sides of the tiles.

Conveyor Module Having Magnetically and X-Ray Detectable Fragments

A conveyer module, small fragments of which are detectable by X-ray and magnetic sensors, is formed from a compounded mixture of a polyketone, stainless steel powder, and barium sulfate powder. The thermoplastic polymer comprises a polyketone constituting less than 95.5% by weight of the mixture. The stainless steel constitutes at least 0.5% by weight of the mixture, and the barium sulfate constitutes at least 4% or more by weight of the mixture.
