Method for manufacturing a floor or wall panel
11959286 · 2024-04-16 · ·

A method for making a floor or wall panel has a foamed polymer core. A foamable polymer powder is foamed between two conveyor belts in the forming zone of a steel belt press. The sum of the thicknesses of the two conveyor belts and the total thickness of the layers at the entrance of the steel belt press is less than or equal to the opening of the steel belt press at the entrance of the steel belt press. The sum of the thicknesses of the two conveyor belts and the total thickness of the substrate at the outlet of the steel belt press is equal to the opening of the steel belt press at the outlet of the steel belt press and greater than the sum of the thicknesses of the two conveyor belts and the total thickness of the layers at the entrance of the steel belt press.

Method of joining pipes and apparatus for facilitating the same
12031657 · 2024-07-09 ·

An apparatus and method for joining pipes includes a plate for melting mating surfaces of the pipes to be joined. Additionally, the apparatus utilizes a vacuum in order to push the first and second pipes together in lieu of hand or mechanical pressure which may be inconsistent. Additionally, the vacuum allows the pipes to be joined to settle on each other in order to create a pressure about a periphery of the end of the pipe being joined to the other pipe. The consistent pressure creates a very strong joint between the first and second pipes.

Method for manufacturing an aircraft seat part
12128602 · 2024-10-29 · ·

A method for manufacturing a part for an aircraft seat includes positioning a heating frame around a stacked structure, locally heating an edge of the stacked structure using a heating frame, externally heating the entire stacked structure, positioning the stacked structure inside a thermoforming mould provided with cutting punches, closing the thermoforming mould and applying a vacuum to the interior of the thermoforming mould, to simultaneously perform, during the same step of shaping the first cover and the second cover, a step of heat sealing an edge of the first cover to an edge of the second cover, bonding the first cover and the second cover to the foam core, and cutting the stacked structure along the circumference thereof using cutting punches.

Preform extended finish for processing light weight ecologically beneficial bottles
12246877 · 2025-03-11 · ·

Disclosed are preforms which incorporate improvements in the region of the neck and upper segment of the body to allow the production of lightweight containers, such as bottles suitable for containing water or other beverages. In accordance with certain embodiments, the improvements include a thinner neck finish area than conventional bottles, where the thinner area is extended into the upper segment of the body portion below the support ring. Reducing the thickness in these areas of the bottle allows for less resin to be used in forming the preform and bottle.

Medical coiled tubing
12318568 · 2025-06-03 · ·

Disclosed herein are sterilized medical coiled tubing and process for producing the same. One process comprises: helically winding a length of medical tubing along a mandrel such that adjacent turns of the medical tubing are in contact with each other at tubing contact points; applying a UV adhesive to the tubing contact points to produce a medical coiled tubing; curing the tubing by applying UV light to the tubing contact points; and removing the medical tubing from the mandrel after the solvent has dried.

Injection screw for rigid vinyl chloride
12325165 · 2025-06-10 · ·

A rigid vinyl chloride injection screw which kneads and injects rigid vinyl chloride includes a flight and a groove. L/D is set to be 19.1 where L is an effective screw length and D is a diameter of the injection screw. tf/tm is set to be 2.5 where tf is the width of the flight at a supply portion and tm is the width of the flight at a measure portion. hf/hm is set to be 2.1 where hf is the depth of the groove at the supply portion and hm is the depth of the groove at the measure portion. A compression ratio that is calculated from ((Ptf)hf)/((Ptm)hm) is set to be 1.74 where P is a pitch of the injection screw.

Plank with anti-slip function and preparation method thereof

The present disclosure relates to a plank with anti-slip function and a method preparing the same; it belongs to the technical field of plank manufacturing. The plank with anti-slip function includes a support body and an anti-slip body clamped on the support body; the anti-slip body has a clamping member; the support body is provided with a plurality of clamping grooves that cooperate with the clamping member; the clamping groove is provided with at least one limiting part that restricts the clamping member from escaping from the clamping groove; the support body is made of thermoplastic material, and the anti-slip body is made of elastomer material. In the present disclosure, by replacing the material of the support body with thermoplastic polyolefin, the cost of the support body is significantly reduced, and the strength is improved; the present disclosure will also provide a matching structure between the support body and the anti-slip body to make the anti-slip body firmly clamped on the support body, so that the present disclosure simultaneously exerts the advantages of the thermoplastic support body and the elastic anti-slip body, thereby the plank has the advantages of high compressive strength and good surface contact.

Method for preparing antibacterial and fresh-keeping fruit-packaging material through three-dimensional printing

A method for preparing an antibacterial and fresh-keeping fruit-packaging material through three-dimensional (3D) printing includes the following steps: dissolving gum arabic and pullulan separately in deionized water to obtain a gum arabic solution and a pullulan solution; subjecting a probiotic to cultivation, centrifugation, and resuspension to obtain a bacterial suspension; mixing the bacterial suspension, the gum arabic solution, and the pullulan solution to obtain a core layer solution; mixing polyvinyl chloride, a modifier, and a plasticizer to obtain a shell layer solution; injecting the shell layer solution and the core layer solution into two syringes, respectively; conducting coaxial 3D printing to finally obtain a coaxial 3D printing product with a core-shell structure; and conducting uniaxial 3D printing with the shell layer solution alone to form an outer layer on the coaxial 3D printing product to obtain the antibacterial and fresh-keeping fruit-packaging material with inner and outer layers.
