QUICK DISSOLVING CAVITY FORMING STRUCTURE FOR INJECTION MOLDED STRUCTURES
A method of molding an article includes positioning a dissolvable insert within a mold, filling the mold with material to form an article within the mold and about the dissolvable insert, and at least partially dissolving the dissolvable insert from within the article. The dissolvable insert forms internal features of the article and includes a porous core.
METHACRYLIC RESIN COMPOSITION AND SHAPED PRODUCT
Provided are a methacrylic resin composition that has adequate optical properties for practical use and excellent heat resistance, thermal stability, external appearance, and shaping processability, and a shaped product containing the same. The composition comprises a methacrylic resin, the methacrylic resin comprising: 50 mass % to 97 mass % of a methacrylic acid ester monomer unit (A); 3 mass % to 30 mass % of a structural unit (B) having a cyclic structure-containing main chain; and 0 mass % to 20 mass % of another vinyl monomer unit (C) that is copolymerizable with a methacrylic acid ester monomer, wherein the methacrylic resin satisfies a specific condition; and the composition has a weight average molecular weight residual ratio of 80% or more upon heating under a nitrogen atmosphere at 280 C. for 1 hour, and has a weight average molecular weight residual ratio of 80% or more upon heating in air at 280 C. for 0.5 hours.
Method for forming anti-glare hard coat layer
An object of the present invention is to provide a method for forming an antiglare hard coat layer having a concavo-convex shape that exhibits a good antiglare property and being superior in scratch resistance.
SURFACING MATERIALS AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURE
A surfacing material includes a substrate having a top side and a bottom side. A matte surface is formed on the bottom side thereof, wherein the matte surface of the surfacing material is a coating of an electron beam radiation curable material applied to the bottom side of the substrate. The coating is an epoxy acrylic or urethane acrylic laid upon the substrate. The epoxy acrylic or urethane acrylic is irradiated with UV-radiation to produce a UV-radiation layer wherein the epoxy acrylic or urethane acrylic is neither hardened nor is an entire layer of the epoxy acrylic or urethane acrylic crosslinked but rather the epoxy acrylic or urethane acrylic is only crosslinked on the surface thereof, which produces a matting surface through the effects of a micro-convolution.
Three-dimensional parts having interconnected Hollow patterns, method of manufacturing and method of producing composite part
A three-dimensional part is printed using an additive manufacturing technique. The three-dimensional part includes an outer wall having an outer surface defining a shape of a part and in interior surface defining an interior cavity. The part includes a plurality of first sections having a plurality of printed layers, each printed layer of the first section having a plurality of wall segments that form triangle shaped cells wherein each of the plurality of first sections are attached to the interior surface of the outer wall. The part includes a plurality of second sections having a plurality of printed layers, each printed layer of the second section having a plurality of wall segments that form hexagram shaped cells of hexagons and triangles, wherein each of the plurality of second printed sections are attached to the interior surface of the outer wall and wherein the first and second sections are in an alternating pattern, wherein when adjacent printed layers of the first and second sections are printed a wall segment of a cell defining a triangle bisect the hexagon shaped cell.
RESIN COMPOSITION FOR THREE-DIMENSIONAL PHOTOSHAPING
Provided is a resin composition for three-dimensional photofabrication which, after curing, melts at a relatively low temperature of about 200 C. and which is excellent in fabricability. The present invention relates to a resin composition for three-dimensional photofabrication, containing a reactive material having in a molecule thereof an acetal structure and a crosslinkable double bond.
Hot stamping apparatus
A hot stamping apparatus and a hot stamping method are for collectively decorating a plurality of decoration objects using a decorative sheet. In a hot stamping apparatus, an upper chamber and a lower chamber are partitioned by a partition sheet and pressing bodies, so that decorative sheet pieces can be used instead of a decorative sheet having a large area. Then, by using the decorative sheet pieces, local thermal deformation can be prevented. A usage amount of the decorative sheet can be reduced, and three-dimensional decoration can be implemented as needed on a portion requiring decoration.
PHOTOCURABLE COMPOSITION, THREE-DIMENSIONAL MODELING PRODUCT, MOLD, METHOD OF PRODUCING CURED PRODUCT, AND METHOD OF PRODUCING PLATE DENTURE
A photocurable composition, contains a (meth)acrylic monomer component, and photopolymerization initiator, in a case in which a rectangular sheet-like test piece A1 with a length of 40 mm, a width of 10 mm, and a thickness of 1.0 mm is produced by photomodeling under conditions in which the photocurable composition is irradiated with visible light having a wavelength of 405 nm at an irradiation dose of 11 mJ/cm.sup.2 to form a cured layer A1 with a thickness of 50 m, the cured layer A1 is stacked in a thickness direction thereof to form a rectangular sheet-like modeling product A1 with a length of 40 mm, a width of 10 mm, and a thickness of 1.0 mm, and the modeling product A1 is irradiated with ultraviolet rays having a wavelength of 365 nm at an irradiation dose of 3 J/cm.sup.2 to produce the test piece A1.
