Furthermore, the second cleaner may incorporate a plurality of grooves extending at least a portion of the distance from the first surface to the second surface along the peripheral surface.
METHOD OF MAKING A BRUSH AND BRUSH
A method of making a brush includes providing a plurality of first filaments, each having a first end and a second end; bringing the plurality of first filaments into a first predetermined shape such that the first ends are arranged side by side on a common contour; fixedly connecting the first ends so that a first pre-tuft having the first predetermined shape and a connected first end is formed; bringing a second tuft element having a first end and a second end together with the first pre-tuft into a second predetermined shape such that the first end of the second tuft element and the connected first end of the first pre-tuft are arranged side by side on a common contour; fixedly connecting the connected first end of the first pre-tuft and the first end of the at least second tuft element so that a final tuft having the second predetermined shape and a connected end is formed; and attaching the final tuft to a brush body by overmolding the final tuft's connected end with a plastic material.
MOLDED ARTICLE FOR ORAL CARE PRODUCT AND ORAL CARE PRODUCT
A molded article (20) for an oral care product includes a primary molded part (P) that includes a covering target part (PC), a secondary molded part (Q) that includes a covering part (Q40) covering the covering target part (PC), and an exposed structure (500) that includes one or a plurality of penetration parts (P100) penetrating the covering part (Q40). The penetration part (P100) includes an exposed surface exposed with respect to the covering part (Q40). The penetration part (P100) is provided in the primary molded part (P) such that a force received by the primary molded part (P) from a resin material corresponding to the secondary molded part (Q) so as to deform the primary molded part (P) in a secondary molding step of molding the secondary molded part (Q) is able to be transferred to a mold through the exposed surface.
Oral Care Implement Having Multi-Component Handle
An oral care implement having a multi-component handle is disclosed. In one aspect, the oral care implement comprises: a handle extending along a longitudinal axis; a head coupled to the handle; at least one tooth cleaning element extending from the head; the handle comprising: a first component constructed of a first material, the first component comprising a first component aperture; a second component constructed of a second material, the second component comprising the head and an anchor, the anchor located within the first component aperture and comprising a second component aperture; and a third component disposed within the second component aperture.
Oral Care Implement Having Multi-Component Handle
An oral care implement having a multi-component handle is disclosed. In one aspect, the oral care implement comprises: a handle; a head coupled to the handle; at least one tooth cleaning element extending from the head; the handle comprising: a first component constructed of a first hard material; and a second component constructed of a second hard material, the second component comprising a plurality of strips that collectively form a strap network that wraps around the first component.
Oral Care Implement Having Multi-Component Handle
An oral care implement having a multi-component handle is disclosed. In one aspect, the oral care implement comprises: a handle comprising a first component constructed of a first material and a second component constructed of a second material; the first component comprising: first, second and third depressions formed into an outer surface of the first component; and a first through-hole extending from a floor of the second depression to a floor of the third depression, the first through-hole extending through sidewalls of the first depression; and the second component comprising: a first portion disposed within the first depression, a second portion disposed within the second depression, and a third portion disposed within the first depression; and the first, second and third portions connected together to form an integral mass of the second material.
Method of forming an oral care implement
A system or method of forming an oral care implement and an oral care implement formed thereby comprising a base structure having a handle portion and a head portion. The method may comprise providing a first mold that defines a first mold cavity having a first portion that corresponds to the handle portion and a second portion that corresponds to the head portion; injecting a first material into the first portion of the first mold cavity via a first injection orifice with a first hot runner sub-system; and injecting a second material into the first portion of the first mold cavity via a second injection orifice with a second hot runner sub-system, the second material being injected into the first material thereby forming the base structure, the second material forming a core component and the first material forming a shell component of the base structure that surrounds the core component.
