An adhesive application device is provided for carrying out a method for producing a lamination stack for rotors and stators of electric motors or generators, wherein a light-activated adhesive is applied to one side of electric steel prior to punching out laminations or to at least one side of already punched-out laminations, wherein the adhesive is irradiated and activated with a light of required wavelength immediately before the adhesive exits from an application unit, and wherein laminations are then punched out from the electric steel and stacked or the already punched-out laminations are stacked to a lamination stack. The adhesive application device has at least one application unit with at least one valve for discharging an adhesive. At least one radiation source is arranged in a region of the valve and emits radiation and directs the radiation to the adhesive provided in the region of the at least one valve.

The invention provides a process of producing an interconnecting multi-layered LVT tile for a modular flooring system, the process comprising the steps of: a) forming abase substrate of plastics material with at least one locating guide by injection moulding; b) coating the back of an LVT surface layer with adhesive; c) aligning the LVT surface layer to a top surface of the base substrate such that the LVT surface layer abuts the or each locating guide of the base substrate; d) press rolling the base substrate and LVT surface layer together to form an oversized blank; and e) punching out an interlock shape from the oversized blank using a punch and die tool.

A method for manufacturing a container seal having an integral pull tab comprises providing a surface layer, an elastic layer, a top layer, an aluminum foil intermediate layer, and laminating a sealing adhesive layer of an adhesive thermoplastic resin or viscous agent to the intermediate layer. An adhesive surface and a non-adhesive portion are added to the thermoplastic resin layer, and placed on the aluminum foil to form a container seal laminate. The container seal laminate is cut to conform with an opening of the container to be sealed. The seal has an integral pull tab.

A scent sampler and air freshener has a wafer of an absorbent resilient material infused with a liquid containing a scent. The wafer is encapsulated in a chamber formed between two panels of sheet material with edges sealed together to form an envelope. An opening in one of the panels enables scent from the liquid to be emitted to the ambient atmosphere. The rate of emission can be increased by squeezing the panels to compress the wafer. The interior surfaces of the panels can be coated with a barrier film to prevent leakage of the liquid from contaminating the sheet material.

A race for a mechanical clutch assembly may be formed from multiple race layers that assembled from pluralities of stamped arcuate segments. First and second race layers may have the same shape when their arcuate segments are assembled are assembled. The arcuate segments of the first race layer may be identical to each other, and the arcuate segments of the second race layer may be identical to each other, but the first layer arcuate segments are not identical to the second layer arcuate segments. Interlocking joints between the first layer arcuate segments are not aligned with interlocking joints between the second layer arcuate segments when the race layers are joined together and aligned for use in the mechanical clutch assembly.

Embodiments disclosed include a method of assembling a laminated fuel cell, the method comprising the steps of: providing a first sheet material (202b) to a first die (205); translating an assembly head (204) to a first location adjacent the first die, the assembly head comprising a first punch (501) having a surface (507) configured to engage with the first die; engaging the first punch with the first die to divide a portion from the first sheet material; adhering the first sheet portion to the surface of the first punch; translating the assembly head with the first sheet material portion to an assembly station (203) comprising an electrode plate (701); and applying the first sheet material portion to a surface of the electrode plate.
