The first foam layer has a first hardness and a first porosity. The second foam layer is connected with the first foam layer and has a second hardness and a second porosity larger than the first porosity. The third foam layer is connected with the second foam layer and has a third hardness and a third porosity smaller than the first porosity. The second foam layer includes a first connecting surface facing the first foam layer and a second connecting surface facing the third foam layer. The contact area between the first connecting surface and the first foam layer is different from the contact area between the second connecting surface and the third foam layer.

The present invention is a pet training pad apparatus suitable for excrement training for dichromatic animals. The pet training pad apparatus comprises a pad body and a visually stimulating indicium. The pad body comprises an excretion surface, an absorbent layer, and an impermeable layer. The visually stimulating indicium comprises at least one dichromatic vision detecting element. The absorbent layer is connected between the excretion surface and the impermeable layer. The visually stimulating indicium is connected along the excretion surface, opposite to the impermeable layer. The at least one dichromatic vision detecting element is distributed about the visually stimulating indicium, where the at least one dichromatic vision detecting element is configured to visually attract animals with dichromatic vision.

A floor mat for use in a commercial aircraft application includes a base carpet-like section made of a fire rated material. A backing film layer is mounted to a bottom of the base carpet-like section. This mounting may be made, for example, using an intervening adhesive layer or through a direct attachment using an inherent adhesive property of the backing film layer. The backing film layer (and any adhesive layer that is used) is made of a fire retardant material. The base carpet-like section is porous and absorbent, and the backing film layer provides a moisture barrier as well as an anti-slip feature.

A traction mat wherein the foam is reinforced with a layer of fabric or fiber between the CLCC foam layer and the substrate or underlying surface. The layering is preferably a first foam layer and a fabric layer impregnated with a pressure sensitive adhesive. This prevents the CLCC foam from being bonded directly to the substrate and allows the fabric/fiber to support the CLCC foam such that the entire assembly can be removed in one piece without the CLCC foam disintegrating. The introduction of the reinforcing fabric and/or fiber layer eliminates any residual CLCC foam from being bonded to the substrate.
