Replacing Keyboard Characters
A computer keyboard is refurbished by applying to its keys stickers each bearing a character designating the action of a respective key. For application of the stickers to the keys, the stickers are configured and arranged on an application tape in a layout congruent with the layout of the keys by a digital scan of the keyboard. The stickers are temporarily attached to the application tape by a peelable adhesive and then permanently attached to the keys by a pressure-sensitive permanent adhesive.
Exterior panel for home appliance and method of manufacturing the same
The present disclosure relates to an exterior panel for a home appliance and a method of manufacturing the same. The exterior panel for a home appliance according to one aspect includes: a base layer made of a metal material, a deposition layer formed at a center except for an edge of an upper layer of the base layer and made of a metal material, and a coating layer formed on the deposition layer and an upper surface of the edge of the base layer, on which the deposition layer is not formed.
METHOD OF MANUFACTURING COMPOSITE MEMBER AND THE COMPOSITE MEMBER
According to an aspect of the present disclosure, A method of manufacturing a composite member including an aluminum member and a resin member that are bonded to each other, the method including: blasting on a surface of the aluminum member to form asperities on the surface of the aluminum member; performing hydrothermal treatment on the surface of the aluminum member having the asperities to modify a surface of the asperities into aluminum hydroxide and form a surface nano structure on the surface of the asperities; applying a binder containing a triazine thiol derivative to the surface of the asperities of the aluminum member modified into aluminum hydroxide and having the surface nano structure to form a coating to be bonded to the aluminum member; and bonding the coating and the resin member.
Acidic gas separation membrane sheet and manufacturing method therefor
An acidic gas separation membrane sheet causes an acidic gas to selectively permeate therethrough. The acidic gas separation membrane sheet includes a first porous layer, a hydrophilic resin composition layer, and a second porous layer in this order. A second peel strength between the second porous layer and the hydrophilic resin composition layer is less than a first peel strength between the first porous layer and the hydrophilic resin composition layer. An average value of the second peel strength is within a range of greater than or equal to 5 N/m and less than or equal to 500 N/m.
DECORATIVE GRILL DECAL AND METHOD OF USE
A decorative decal for altering the aesthetics of a barbeque grill, with the decal comprising a flexible and heat resistant substrate having a visually discernible aesthetic element on its first surface and an adhesive on its second surface, with the adhesive suitable for attaching the substrate to the outer surface of the barbeque grill; and a method of use of the decal.
POLY-SUPPORTED COPPER FOIL
A supported copper foil is disclosed, comprising: a poly-based film that contains polyimide and polytetrafluoroethylene; a thin copper foil; and an adhesive provided between the poly-based film and the thin copper foil, the adhesive removably coupling the poly-based film to the copper foil.
Methods of drying sheets of donor-provided human birth tissue
Embodiments of the technology may involve a method of processing the human donor tissue for administration to a recipient. This method may include the step of contacting the human donor tissue with a backing layer, where the human donor tissue and the backing layer contain a saline solution. This saline solution may include a solvent and a disassociated salt. The method may further include evaporating a portion of the solvent from a surface of the backing layer. The evaporation of the solvent may move a portion of the disassociated salt from the donor tissue to the backing layer. This process may then result in a tissue that is mostly dry and free of salt crystals.
ANTI-FOG MIRROR APPARATUS HAVING A MULTI-LAYER FILM
Described herein is a mirror apparatus comprising: a reflective substrate; and an anti-fog complex comprising: an adhesive layer atop the substrate; a first polymeric layer atop the pressure sensitive adhesive layer; and a second polymeric layer atop the first polymeric layer. Methods of making the mirror apparatus are also disclosed.
Apparatus and a method for bonding and insulating Nd—Fe—B permanent magnets
A method for bonding a plurality of Nd—Fe—B permanent magnets includes a step of curing the layer of insulating adhesive at an initial temperature of between 20° C. and 250° C. and between 0.1 hr and 24 hr prior to the step of sandwiching. A predetermined clamping pressure of between 0.1 MPa and 10 MPa is then applied to the Nd—Fe—B permanent magnets. The stacked Nd—Fe—B permanent magnet is cured at a predetermined temperature of between 150° C. and 350° C. and between 0.1 hr and 12 hr. A clamping tool apparatus includes at least one of three intermediate guides disposed on the lower plate, in the chamber, spaced from the magnet positioning members, and extends to a proximal end defining a second predetermined distance with the second predetermined distance being less than the first predetermined distance of the magnet positioning members. The upper plate defines a plurality of apertures for receiving the magnet positioning members and the intermediate guides.
POLYCHLOROPRENE-BASED BONDING ADHESIVES
An adhesive composition comprising a solids component, said solids component including a rubber component that includes polychloroprene; and a solvent component, said solvent component including t-butyl acetate.
