A method of preparing a lithographic printing plate includes the steps printing a liquid on a lithographic support to form a printing area which corresponds to a raster image, wherein the raster image includes a section which has a tone-value from 90% to 100%, and the jetted liquid droplets for this section, on a corresponding part from the printing area on the lithographic support, are contactless with each other.
Fluorosilicone composite and formulation process for imaging plate
An apparatus and method of manufacturing a fluorosilicone composite for a variable data lithography imaging member surface layer. Examples of the fluorosilicone composite include a first part and a second part, the first part having fluorosilicone, carbon black, silica and butyl acetate, the second part having a platinum catalyst, a crosslinker, butyl acetate and an inhibitor. The first part may also include a dispersant (e.g., a polyoxyalkylene amine derivative) that removes a need for shaking the dispersion by paint shaker and instead allows a more manufacture friendly roll ball milling process. The dispersant will also help in stabilizing the fluorosilicone composite for scaled up production.

A method of preparing a first and second lithographic printing plate for lithographic printing of a color digital image on a receiver wherein the color digital image includes a plurality of colorant separations; the method including the steps of jetting droplets by an inkjet CTP system on a first lithographic support for the first lithographic printing plate thereby forming a printing area of a first lithographic image which represents a first colorant separation of the plurality of colorant separations; and jetting droplets by the inkjet CTP system on a second lithographic support for the second lithographic printing plate thereby forming a printing area of a second lithographic image which represents a second colorant separation of the plurality of colorant separations; and wherein the method of preparing a first and second lithographic printing plates is characterized by forming a part of or whole the first and second lithographic image in a print pass by the inkjet CTP system.
Measuring ink stream deposition rate of an aerosol-jet printer
A method is disclosed for calibrating a deposition rate in an aerosol jet printer. The method includes providing a substrate defining an array of wells, each defining a volume. The method also includes defining a toolpath such that a dispensing nozzle passes over the wells. The method also includes defining a dwell time such that the nozzle remains centered above each well for an amount of time equal to the dwell time, after which the nozzle follows the toolpath to be centered over the following well. The dwell time defines a deposition rate based on the volume of the wells. The method also includes causing the nozzle to move along the toolpath, depositing material into the wells. The method also includes observing one of overfilling and underfilling and adjusting dispensing parameters to effect a modified deposition rate, until the wells are being filled to within a tolerance of exactly full.

The image generation kit is adapted to controllably eject individual drops of a gating agent, and is operating the image generation kit in synchronism with a principal substance application apparatus to deposit the drops of the gating agent on a substrate and to transfer a principal substance to the substrate. The drops of the gating agent on the substrate define image and non-image areas of the substrate, the image and non-image areas of the substrate are undefined until the drops of the gating agent are deposited thereon, and the substrate with the principal substance transferred to the image areas is an end product of the printing device.

The present invention provides a planographic printing plate original including, in the order mentioned below: a substrate; and at least a heat sensitive layer and a silicone rubber layer provided on the substrate, wherein the heat sensitive layer contains a polyurethane having a carbonate structure. The present invention also provides a method of producing a planographic printing plate using the same, and a method of producing a printed matter. An object of the present invention is to provide: a planographic printing plate original which has an excellent halftone dot reproducibility and printing durability, and in which the occurrence of scumming can be prevented; a method of producing a planographic printing plate using the same; and a method of producing a printed matter.
