Cutting Machine for Cutting Sheets of Cardboard, Paper or the Like and Digital Printing Line
The invention relates to a cutting machine for cutting cardboard, paper or the like, comprising an aligning station having a horizontal bedplate provided with sheet shifting means and stop means arranged along the forward movement direction of the sheet and configured for being in contact with one of the sides of the sheet for guiding the movement for shifting the sheet. Additionally, the machine comprises a cutting station provided with cutting means arranged in a transverse direction with respect to the forward movement direction of the sheets for dividing the sheets into longitudinal sections, and sheet shifting means for shifting the sheets in the forward movement direction which coincides with a longitudinal axis of the cutting station, said cutting means being provided for dividing each sheet into portions, a longitudinal axis of the bedplate of the aligning station having, when seen in plan view, an angle of inclination with respect to the longitudinal axis of the cutting station.
VARIABLE CUTOFF IN A CUTTER FOLDER
A folder for a printing press includes a cutting cylinder assembly having at least two knife and anvil cylinder sets positioned near the cutting region of a folder. The cutting cylinder assembly slides or actuates one of the knife and anvil cylinder sets into a cutting position for a desired cut length. The web passes between the knife and anvil cylinder set and is cut. When the cut length needs to be changed, the assembly is relocated to such a position that a second or further set of knife and anvil cylinders is aligned with the web.

AUTOMATIC METHOD AND DEVICE FOR CUTTING SUBSTRATES HAVING PRINTED IMAGES
The invention relates to a method for cutting substrates with printed images in an automatic cutting device provided with means for correcting alignment errors based on the detection of longitudinal and transverse cutting marks. The longitudinal cutting marks (LM) are provided with a discontinuity (N) arranged upstream of each transverse cutting mark (TM) with respect to a feeding direction (F) of a substrate (S) and spaced therefrom by a predefined known measure (d). The automatic cutting device has a first optical unit configured to detect the transverse cutting marks (TM) and a second optical unit configured to detect the discontinuities (N) in the longitudinal cutting mark (LM). Since the velocity of the substrate is known, the control system activates the first optical unit when the transverse cutting mark (TM) actually passed underneath it.
Observation-enhanced virtual master system for a printing press
A web printing press is provided. The web printing press includes at least one printing unit printing images on a web, at least one press component in direct contact with the web, a cutting device for cutting the web into sheets and a controller transmitting a virtual master signal to the at least one printing unit and at least one press component. A sensor senses the at least one press component or directly senses the web downstream of the at least one print unit and generates a sensor signal. A processor receives the sensor signal and the virtual master signal, the processor transmits a modified virtual master signal to the cutting device as a function of the received sensor signal. Methods are also provided.

Processing apparatus and stacker device
A processing apparatus comprises: a conveyance part for conveying a sheet; a processing part including a processing member that is installed in a manner of being movable in an intersecting direction of intersecting with a conveyance direction of the conveyance part and that performs predetermined processing at a predetermined position of the sheet under conveyance; a stacker part for accumulating processing articles obtained by the processing of the processing part; and a control part for controlling the stacker part such as to sort a predetermined amount of precedently ejected ones of the processing articles from the subsequent ones of the processing articles among the processing articles ejected to the stacker part by the conveyance part.
EQUIPMENT AND METHOD OF TRANSVERSAL CUTTING FOR TRIMMING STRIPS
A cutting equipment trims strips of webs in movement by means of a stationary trimming blade and a rotating cylinder with a mobile trimming blade during transversal cuts and separation of basic sheets. The rotating cylinder includes a sector with suction openings connected to a vacuum source, which retains the strips by suction and drags the strips up to a collector of the trimmed strips. The cutting equipment cuts and separates transversal strips of two webs overlapped in adherence jointly to the cutting of the basic sheets. To this end, a perforating device perforates a row of holes on the first web adjacent to an edge of the sheets: a first web is positioned with the row of holes in front of the suction openings, while the strip of the second web is retained and dragged by suction through the holes of the first web up to the collector of the trimmed strips.
