Disclosed is related to a printing device for performing a multi-color gravure offset printing operation in one rotation of a gravure offset roll for various shapes of printing material, and a method therefor. The printing device includes at least: a blanket roll having a cylindrical shape and moving in a first direction while rotating; an ink transfer unit including one or more ink transfer plates which is in contact with a lower end of the blanket roll; a squeeze unit moving in a second direction in a state in which one end thereof comes in contact with the ink transfer plate, wherein the second direction forms a predetermined angle with respect to the first direction or is orthogonal to the first direction. According to the present invention, an effect of enabling gravure offset printing in one printing cycle on various shapes of printing material is provided.

Multi-color gravure offset printing device and printing method

Disclosed is related to a printing device for performing a multi-color gravure offset printing operation in one rotation of a gravure offset roll for various shapes of printing material, and a method therefor. Gravure printing method

Provided is a gravure printing method by which high printing density and excellent highlight suitability are obtained, even if a gravure plate having high resolution and reduced thickness is used. The gravure printing method comprises: using an aqueous ink having a Zahn cup #3 viscosity at 20 C. of 11.0 seconds or more and 20.0 seconds or less, and having an evaporation rate of 30 mass % or less in a drying test, the drying test involving drying 1 g of the ink at a temperature of 40 C. and an air flow of 1,400 L/min for 30 minutes; and transferring 1 ml/m.sup.2 or more and 7 ml/m.sup.2 or less of the ink onto a printing medium.

Gravure printing method

The printing roller having an axial direction parallel to a first direction is disposed between the two clamps. The blanket wraps part of a radial periphery of the printing roller. The driving device is to drive the two clamps to undergo reverse motions so as to displace the blanket, and the blanket further rotates the printing roller. A gravure module, disposed on a platform of the gravure offset printing apparatus, has a groove for containing an offset ink. While the two clamps pull the blanket to undergo the reverse motions, a surface of the blanket contacts the gravure module so as to adhere the offset ink on the surface of the blanket.
