A recording material and a recording sheet having excellent color-developing performance and storage stability and particularly having excellent heat-resistance of background. The recording material contains a color former (A), a compound represented by formula (I) (B), and a compound represented by formula (II) (C).

RECORDING MATERIAL AND COMPOUND
An object of the present invention is to provide a recording material or a recording sheet using, as a color-developing agent, a non-phenol-based compound good in color developing performance and the like. A compound represented by the following formula (I) is used as the color-developing agent:

(wherein X represents CH.sub.2 or the like; R.sup.1 to R.sup.3 each independently represent a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom or the like; n1 and n3 each independently represent any integer of 1 to 5; two groups represented by R.sup.3 adjacent to each other on a benzene ring optionally bond to each other to form an optionally substituted 6-membered ring; and n2 represents any integer of 1 to 4).
THERMAL TRANSFER RECORDING MEDIUM
A thermal transfer recording medium comprises a heat-resistant lubricating layer laminated on a first surface of a substrate, and an undercoat layer and a dye layer laminated in this order on a second surface of the substrate. The dye layer contains, as binders, a polyvinyl acetal resin, a phenoxy resin, and a graft copolymer having a main chain comprising polycarbonate and a side chain comprising a vinyl-based polymer, and also contains Compounds I, II, and III as cyan dyes.
Thermal transfer recording sheet
A thermal transfer recording sheet including a substrate and a yellow coloring material layer, a magenta coloring material layer, and a cyan coloring material layer frame-sequentially formed on the substrate, wherein at least one of the yellow coloring material layer, the magenta coloring material layer, and the cyan coloring material layer contains a compound with a specified structure.
Reversible recording medium and exterior member
A reversible recording medium according to an embodiment of the present disclosure includes: a recording layer including a leuco pigment as a coloring compound; and a first barrier film that is provided on one surface and a side surface of the recording layer and suppresses mixing of at least one of water or oxygen.
USE OF N-(P-TOLUOLSULFONYL)-N'-(3-P-TOLUOLSULFONYL-OXY-PHENYL)UREA AS A COLOR DEVELOPER IN A HEAT-SENSITIVE RECORDING MATERIAL
Use of N-(p-toluenesulfonyl)-N-(3-p-toluenesulfonyl-oxy-phenyl)urea with an X-ray diffraction pattern with Bragg angles (2?/CuK.sub.?) of 10.3, 11.0, 12.9, 13.2, 15.4, 17.1, 18.0, 18.2, 19.4, 20.0, 20.7, 21.2, 23.0, 24.9, 25.3, 26.5, 26.8, 27.5, 30.7, 32.7 as a colour developer in a heat-sensitive recording material comprising a carrier substrate, a heat-sensitive colour-forming layer which is applied to one face of the carrier substrate and which contains at least one non-phenolic colour developer and at least one colour former, and an adhesive layer and/or a coating in order to allow rear-face printing using conventional printing methods on the carrier substrate face facing away from the heat-sensitive colour-forming layer, so as to limit the loss of image density and/or the relative print contrast and/or the reduction of the area-based colour developer quantity, wherein, with a value of ?1.20 optical density units for the heat-sensitive recording material stored in accordance with the migration test defined in the description, the image density equals at least 35% of the value of the image density prior to storage and/or the relative print contrast of the heat-sensitive recording material stored in accordance with the migration test equals at least 70% of the value of the relative print contrast prior to storage and/or the area-based colour developer quantity of the heat-sensitive recording material stored in accordance with the migration test equals at least 30% of the area-based colour developer quantity prior to storage.
SELF-ADHESIVE, HEAT-SENSITIVE RECORDING MATERIAL
The invention relates to a self-adhesive, heat-sensitive recording material, comprising a carrier substrate, a heat-sensitive, color-forming layer that is applied on one side of the carrier substrate and contains at least a non-phenolic color developer in and at least one color former, a siliconized layer on the upper side of the heat-sensitive, color-forming layer that is applied on the carrier substrate, as well as an adhesive layer on the side of the carrier substrate facing away from the heat-sensitive, color-forming layer.
Thermosensitive recording material
A main object of the present invention is to provide a thermosensitive recording material having excellent recording color developability and recording image quality, having no inhibition of a color-developing reaction due to the adhesive component after being processed into a thermosensitive recording label (glue desensitization), and being able to withstand long-term storage while retaining excellent recording performance. The present invention is a thermosensitive recording material (1) having at least an anchor layer (1) containing a sizing agent on a support, an undercoat layer containing at least one member selected from the group consisting of plastic hollow particles and sizing agents on the anchor layer (1), and a thermosensitive recording layer containing a leuco dye and a coloring agent on the undercoat layer; and is a thermosensitive recording material (2a) having an anchor layer (2) containing specific amounts of a pigment and a specific sizing agent on a support, and a thermosensitive recording layer containing a leuco dye and a coloring agent on the anchor layer (2); a thermosensitive recording material (2b) having an anchor layer (2) containing a pigment and a specific sizing agent on a support, and a thermosensitive recording layer containing a leuco dye and a specific coloring agent on the anchor layer (2); or a thermosensitive recording material (2c) having an anchor layer (2) containing a sizing agent and a water resistance-imparting agent on a support, and a thermosensitive recording layer containing a leuco dye and a coloring agent on the anchor layer.
Recording medium and exterior member
A recording medium according to an embodiment of the present disclosure includes: a recording layer including a leuco dye as a coloring compound; a first barrier film that is provided on each of one surface and another surface opposed to the one surface of the recording layer, and suppresses intrusion of moisture, oxygen, or both; and a second barrier film having chemical resistance and provided on a side surface of the recording layer continuously at least from a peripheral part of the one surface to a peripheral part of the other surface of the recording layer.

A digitally receptive coating method includes the steps of applying a digitally receptive coating to a first side of a film, metalizing the first side of the film and bonding the metalized first side of the film to a substrate to produce a laminate having a digitally receptive coating.
