A printing apparatus includes a printing unit configured to perform printing onto a medium, a supporting unit configured to support the medium to be printed by the printing unit, a pressing unit configured to be attachable and detachable with respect to the supporting unit and to be attached to the supporting unit to press the medium supported by the supporting unit, and a retainer configured to retain the pressing unit that is removed from the supporting unit. The retainer has a first portion on which the pressing unit is placed, and a second portion positioned closer to a leading end of the retainer than the first portion and above the first portion in a vertical direction.
MACHINE ARRANGEMENT FOR SEQUENTIAL PROCESSING OF SHEET-TYPE SUBSTRATES
A machine arrangement, for sequentially processing sheet-type substrates, includes a plurality of different processing stations, one of which includes a non-impact printing device that prints the substrates. The processing station, including the non-impact printing device, also includes a printing cylinder, on the circumference of which, the non-impact printing device that prints the substrates is arranged. On the circumferential surface of the printing cylinder, four substrates are or can be placed behind each other in the circumferential direction. Each of the substrates that are to be conveyed are retained in one of a force-locking and a form-fitting manner on the circumferential surface of the printing cylinder by at least one retaining element.
Sheet-fed printing press
A sheet-fed printing press has at least one coating assembly configured as a non-impact coating assembly. The sheet-fed printing press has at least one transport belt which extends, having at least one transport section of a circular path thereto, parallel to a transport direction along a partial region of a transport path provided for a sheet. At least one coating location of the at least one coating assembly is arranged along the transport section of the at least one transport belt. At least one printing head is arranged connected to at least one first frame of the at least one coating assembly. The at least one transport belt is arranged, connected to at least one second frame, via at least one deflection device and at least one radial bearing. The at least one first frame, apart from at least one installation surface which is different from the at least one first frame and the at least one second frame, is arranged in contact to the second frame at most via flexible connections.
System and method for overprinting on packages and/or containers of different formats
The invention describes a system (1) for overprinting on formats, comprising at least one printing unit (2), having first actuation means (14), and also comprising format supplying means (6, 7), format collecting means (9), at least one conveyor belt (5), second actuation means (10), and control means (11, 12, 13). The at least one printing unit (2) comprises at least one rotatable printing cylinder (3), having printing zones at the surface, and also first actuation means (14), configured to drive, in a controllable manner, the rotation of the printing cylinder (3). The format supplying means (6, 7) are configured to supply the system with one or more formats (4), each being intended to be overprinted in preset zones to be overprinted. The format collecting means (9) are configured to collect the one or more formats (8) once printed. The at least one conveyor belt (5) is configured to arrange, for the aforementioned one or more formats (4), an advancement path comprised between the format supplying means (6, 7) and the format collecting means (9). The advancement path passes through the printing unit (2). The second actuation means (10) are configured to drive, in a controllable manner, the advancement of the conveyor belt (4) along the advancement path, upstream of the printing unit (2) in the advancement direction. The control means (11, 12, 13) are configured to control, in a coordinated manner, both the first actuation means (14) and the second actuation means (10), so as to determine at each moment a correspondence of the preset zones to be overprinted of the format (4) with respective printing zones of the printing cylinder (3).
Modular machine arrangement for sequential processing of sheets
A press assembly has a plurality of processing stations for the processing of sheets. These processing stations are arranged in succession in a transport direction of the sheets for inline processing of the sheets. At least one of these processing stations is a non-impact printing unit and at least one processing station downstream of the non-impact printing unit is embodied as a dryer. At least one additional processing station is embodied as a coating unit. The coating unit is configured for applying a coating in a form of a varnish to each sheet. A plurality of individually controlled, non-impact printing units are arranged along the transport path of the sheets. Each of the plurality of non-impact printing units is configured as an ink jet printer.

SHEET-FED PRINTING MACHINE FOR DIFFERENT PRINTING METHODS
A sheet-fed printing unit has a first impression cylinder and a second impression cylinder, which are arranged directly and interactingly in contact and which each have an axis of rotation. An axial plane contains the axes of rotation. A reference plane is a plane which contains an axis of rotation of a cylinder of this type and has a horizontal surface normal. These two cylinders are arranged such that an intersection angle between the axial plane and the reference plane is a maximum of 15. A transport path is provided for a transportation of sheets, which transport path has a region for the respective impression cylinder in which there is contact between sheets and a casing surface. This region of the transport path for the respective impression cylinder extends over an angular range of at least 270. A sheet-fed printing machine has a sheet-fed printing unit of this type.
SHEET-FED PRINTING MACHINE FOR DIFFERENT PRINTING METHODS
A sheet-fed printing machine comprises two sheet-fed printing units; of which a first is configured as a sheet-fed simultaneous printing unit and has two collector cylinders, which interact with one another and each have an axis of rotation. An axial plane contains the axes of rotation of the collector cylinders. A reference plane contains an axis of rotation of this type and has a horizontal surface normal. An intersection angle between the axial plane and the reference plane is, at a maximum, 45 degrees. A first one of the sheet-fed simultaneous printing units has exactly four plate cylinders, of which exactly two are arranged such that they directly interact with the first collector cylinder and has exactly two others which are arranged such that they directly interact with the second collector cylinder. A second sheet-fed printing unit has at least one impression cylinder and at least one plate cylinder, which is arranged such that it directly interacts with the impression cylinder and which is configured a screen printing plate cylinder, or as a flexo plate cylinder or as a numbering plate cylinder. The two collector cylinders of the first printing unit and the impression cylinder of the second printing unit have the same circumference.
