Paper fastening rivet and tool system
A method and system of attaching rivets to secure sheets of paper together. The rivets have a head, a recess, a skirt and a tail. A tool is configured so that the tail fits through a hole in the tool. Before the tail is inserted into the hole in the tool, the tail is inserted through two holes in the paper(s) and then in the hole in the tool. Pressure is placed on the paper by pressing downward on the tool thereby causing the paper(s) to snap into the recess, thereby securing both pieces of paper together.
Soft and hard panel attachment
A pliable panel and hard panel attachment method where a plurality of pliable panels, a thin metallic panel and a wood panel are joined together in a novel manner. The pliable panel can be textile, leather or flexible plastic. The pliable panels have one or more rows of laser cut apertures that allow a length of the sewing thread to sew the pliable panels together. The hard-thin metallic panel is capable of being sandwiched between the pliable panel and the wood panel. The pliable panel members have laser cut apertures that allow the thin metal panel to be seen through the apertures. The metal panel and the wood and pliable panel are held together by rivets. The sewing thread is inserted into the row of apertures in such a way that the resulting sewn pattern appears to be a continuous line of thread.

SELF-SUPPORTING BOOK
A book has a front cover having a first edge which is unconnected, and an opposing second edge which is connected to a spine. A back cover has a first edge which is connected to the spine and an opposing second edge which is connected to flexible joint or fold-line. The book has a third cover having a first edge which is connected to the flexible joint, that couples the third cover to the back cover, and an opposing second edge which is connected to binding. The front cover is configured to fold back about the spine to retain the third cover proximal the outer edge of the third cover to retain the book in a propped-up position for reading. A page holder slides along the left and right sides of the third cover and has an opening that allows a page to be pushed therethrough.

Sheet processing apparatus and image forming system having the same
A sheet processing apparatus for processing a sheet includes a conveying path in which a sheet is conveyed; a setting portion including an opening formed in a cover, a setting face supporting a lower face of a sheet bundle inserted through the opening from an outside of the sheet processing apparatus, and a regulating face which regulates a position of the sheet bundle; a stack portion on which sheets are stacked; a binding unit which is configured to bind a sheet bundle set on a sheet setting area; and a punching unit being configured to be movable in the sheet width direction, the punching unit including a punching portion which forms a punch hole. In the sheet width direction, the sheet setting area is arranged as being overlapped with a moving area of an end of the one side of the punching unit in the sheet width direction.
