Timepiece Dial, Timepiece, And Method For Manufacturing Timepiece Dial
A timepiece dial including a base having a first region having a coating film provided at the surface of the base, a second region where laser light is radiated to the first region to remove the coating film, and a third region, in part of the first region, where the coating film is penetrated and the base is dug down, and the surface roughness of the third region is smaller than the surface roughness of the second region.
Selectively illuminable metallic looking trims and their methods of manufacture
A trim for an object and its method of manufacture involve providing a transparent or translucent substrate defining a top surface, applying an opaque layer above the top surface of the substrate, the opaque layer defining one or more apertures through which light can pass, and applying one or more translucent metallic-looking layers above a top surface of the opaque layer. In some implementations, the trim is a selectively illuminable trim whereby a light source is arranged beneath a bottom surface of the substrate, the light source being configured to output light through the substrate, the one or more apertures defined by the opaque layer, and the one or more metallic-looking layers.
METHOD FOR PRODUCING A STRUCTURE ON A SURFACE
A method for manufacturing a structure on a surface of a workpiece (1) is disclosed, the method having the following steps: applying a liquid base layer (2) onto the surface of the workpiece (1); spraying on at least one droplet (3) into the not yet congealed base layer (2), wherein the at least one droplet (3) at least partially, preferably completely, penetrates into the base layer (2); fixing the base layer (2); and at least partially removing the at least one droplet (3).
Further, a second method having the following steps is disclosed: spraying on at least one droplet (3) onto the surface of the workpiece (1); applying a liquid base layer (2) onto the surface of the workpiece (1), wherein the base layer (2) flows around the at least one droplet (3) and preferably at least partially covers the at least one droplet (3); fixing the base layer (2); at least partially removing the at least one droplet (3).
Finally, a device for performing the methods is disclosed.
Ground composite body comprising a glass body and a plastic
A decorative composite body includes a glass body and a plastic partly enclosing the glass body, wherein part of the surface of the glass body is arranged on the outside of the decorative composite body, wherein at least two adjacent glass and plastic areas arranged on the outside of the composite body are ground in the composite state, wherein areas of the glass body adjacent to the plastic are at least partly mirrored.
COATED STEEL SHEET AND HOME APPLIANCE USING THE SAME
A coated steel sheet capable of implementing a rich three-dimensional effect, various patterns, and a natural esthetic sense and includes a steel sheet material which has a concave portion and a convex portion formed on one surface and a coating layer which is formed on the one surface by being coated on a coating material, wherein, as the coating layer is polished, at least a portion of the convex portion is exposed to an outside, and the concave portion is filled with the coating material.
METHOD OF MARKING LAMINATED JEWELRY
A method to permanently mark an item of laminated jewelry involves creating a laminate of two metals, and upper layer typically formed of a more precious metal such as gold, platinum or palladium that do not readily oxidize laminated onto the surface of a less precious metal, such as silver, which can be oxidized to create a dark color (e.g. black). A laser is used to create characters and/or designs in the upper layer by vaporizing portions thereof to effectively remove those portions. This exposes the upper surface of the less precious metal that does become oxidized. An oxidizer, such as liquid sulfur, is then used to blacken the silver, typically a dark gray. However, if more contrast is needed by making the marked text, designs etc. darker than gray a second step can be used by applying an additional oxidizing agent to turn the dark gray to substantially black.
METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING A TRANSLUCENT OR TRANSPARENT VEHICLE PART
A method for manufacturing a vehicle part, including the steps of applying a paint layer on a first face of a transparent or translucent part, applying a varnish layer on the paint layer, partially irradiating the paint layer and the varnish layer with laser radiation so as to etch the paint layer and the varnish layer, and overmolding a semi-transparent film on a second face of the transparent or translucent part opposite the first face.
METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING A TRANSPARENT OR TRANSLUCENT VEHICLE PART
A method for manufacturing a vehicle part, including the steps of a) overmolding a semi-transparent film on a transparent or translucent part, b1) applying a paint layer on the semi-transparent film, b2) applying a varnish layer on the paint layer, and b3) partially irradiating the paint layer and the varnish layer with laser radiation so as to etch the paint layer and the varnish layer, step a) being implemented before step b1) or after step b3).
DECORATIVE FILM, TRANSFER FILM, USE OF A TRANSFER FILM, METHOD FOR PRODUCING A TRANSFER FILM, METHOD FOR DECORATING A PLASTIC MOULDED ARTICLE, AND PLASTIC MOULDED ARTICLE
A decorative film, a transfer film, the use of a transfer film, a method for producing a transfer film, a method for decorating a plastic molded article, and a plastic molded article. The decorative film, in particular for decorating a plastic molded article, here includes at least one first color varnish layer, at least one second color varnish layer and a transparent laser protective varnish layer, wherein the transparent laser protective varnish layer is arranged between the at least one first color varnish layer and the at least one second color varnish layer.
Method of producing a decorated component for a timepiece or piece of jewellery, and component made by the method
The method makes it possible to produce a decorated component for a timepiece or piece of jewellery. This component provided with the decoration may be, for example, a watch hand. To produce said component, a base substrate is used and a micromachining operation is performed on or in the base substrate to obtain an upper part of the component, which is provided with the decoration. The decoration is produced through the thickness of the upper part and in a programmed pattern. Thereafter, the upper part is placed on a luminescent or colored substance to obtain the component.
