Technology is provided for an inflation hubcap installation system for connecting an air hose to an inflation hubcap air fitting. The inflation hubcap installation system includes a locking tool, a tool retainer, and a torque wrench adapter. The locking tool includes a hubcap interface portion and a wrench portion configured to engage the air fitting when the hubcap interface portion is connected to the inflation hubcap. The tool retainer connects to the locking tool and retains the locking tool on the inflation hubcap. The torque wrench adapter engages the air hose and connects to a suitable torque wrench.

Lock ring spreader

A lock ring spreader is capable of being mounted to a lock ring having a first end and a second end. The lock ring spreader comprises a first mount that is mountable to the lock ring near the first end of the lock ring and a second mount that is mountable to the lock ring near the second end of the lock ring. A crank arm is pivotally coupled to the first mount and extends radially outward from the first mount relative to the lock ring. A link arm is pivotally coupled to the second mount and the crank arm, and extends radially outward from the second mount relative to the lock ring. Pivoting the crank arm radially inward relative to the lock ring pivots the link arm relative to the crank arm and expands the distance between the first mount and the second mount.

A device configured to remove a hubcap from a wheel of a vehicle without using torque or leverage applied against a component that is not the hubcap is disclosed. The device is configured to remove the hubcap by applying a force to the hubcap along a first axis that is perpendicular to the hubcap. The device comprises a shaft and a slide hammer. The shaft includes a first end and a second end. The first end includes a hook having a degree of bend greater than 90 degrees. The slide hammer is coupled to the shaft between the first end and the second end. A first force acting on the slide hammer along a first axis perpendicular to the hubcap in a first direction away from the wheel causes the hook to apply a second force to the hubcap along the first axis in the first direction.

A tool for removing a center cap of a wheel includes a cylinder having a first end and a second end, a piston movable axially between a first position and second position within the cylinder, a handle attached to the piston and extending from the second end of the cylinder for pulling the piston from the first position to the second position, and an adhesive ring on the first end of the cylinder for creating a seal between the first end of the cylinder and the center cap. Movement of the piston from the first position to the second position creates suction when the adhesive ring is in contact with the center cap to remove the center cap without damaging it.
