Wheel trim retention cap
A cap for retaining a wheel trim with a wheel includes a body portion which slides inside a central opening defined by a hub portion of the wheel trim. The body portion has a first end and a second end. The cap includes at least one engagement portion coupled to the body portion. The at least one engagement portion engages with an internal wall of the hub portion. The cap includes at least one retaining tab coupled to the body portion towards the second end of the body portion. The at least one retaining tab extends radially outwards from the second end of the body portion. The cap further includes a holding portion coupled to the body portion towards the first end. The holding portion extends radially outwards from the body portion such that the holding portion abuts a disc portion of the wheel trim.
Wheel shield
A wheel shield includes a central disk having a central wheel hub opening surrounded by annularly spaced stud holes that correspond to a pattern presented by a vehicle. The central disk includes an outwardly open fastening surface such as a channel positioned around an outer diameter of the central disk. The wheel shield includes a radially-compressible ring such as radially extending filaments. The radially-compressible ring has an inner diameter attached in the outwardly open fastening surface of the central disk and sized to engagingly contact an inner diameter of a vehicle wheel rim to restrict movement of brake dust to an exposed outer surface of the vehicle wheel rim while still allowing for the movement of air for cooling.
Wheel of a vehicle
A wheel of a vehicle, in particular a motor vehicle, has a rim, a hub portion, and at least two spokes connecting the hub portion to the rim. At least two adjoining spokes are connected to each other by at least one connecting web which is arranged in a space between the spokes, is not attached to the rim and the hub portion, and extends at least approximately in the circumferential direction of the wheel.
Wheel assembly, methods, and applications
A quick release mechanism for a wheel includes a hub and a clip, which interact with a wheel or roller that may or may not be part of the invention per se. The hub is disposable on a drive shaft such that it will rotate with the drive shaft. An optional hub cap is disposable on the wheel and has an opening that is complimentary to the geometry of the hub to allow engagement thereof such that the hub the hub cap rotate together. The clip is disposable on the hub in a closed or an open position so that the hub cap cannot or can be removed from the hub.
Heat protection device for a wheel electronics unit on a rim of a wheel of a vehicle
A heat protection device for a wheel electronics unit on a rim of a wheel of a vehicle, having a main body with a fastening portion for fastening to the wheel electronics unit, and at least one heat protection portion for thermally insulating the wheel electronics unit in the fastened position.
Trim part with locking slide on a motor vehicle rim
Decorative trim panel on a motor vehicle wheel consisting of at least one plate-shaped trim part which at least partially covers the visible side of the motor vehicle wheel and which can be settleable in a load-transmitting manner to the spokes and/or to the rim ring of the wheel by a counter holder and/or latch, the counter holder/latch on the trim part side are formed from at least one latching foot which is integrally formed on the surface of the trim part, a hook head integrally formed thereon, and in that the latching foot is part of a latching connection on the trim part, the bending of which is effected by a locking slide formed to be displaceable and lockable in a latching gap of the latching connection and selectively consolidates or releases the latching connection and thereby bends or returns the latching foot towards the rim side.
Wheel assemblies for model vehicles
A wheel assembly for a model vehicle is provided. The wheel assembly may include a wheel base configured for mounting an R/C vehicle tire and a colored trim piece provided on a facing surface of the wheel base. In addition, the wheel assembly may include a wheel face configured to allow portions of the colored trim piece to be visible when the wheel face is attached to the wheel base. The wheel assembly may also include a hub cap assembly that comprises a hub cap and a retainer. Wherein the hub cap assembly is removably secured against the wheel base via the retainer.
Gripping tool for adjustable wheel balancing clamping tools
A gripping tool for adjustable wheel balancing clamping tool includes a gripping body and an adjustable-bolt-pattern-adaptor attachment mechanism. The gripping body that enables the user to grasp the clamping tool includes an outer annular body, an inner annular body, and a connector ring. The inner annular body is concentrically positioned within the outer annular body. The connector ring is perimetrically connected the outer annular body and the inner annular body. The connector ring is terminally positioned to a first outer edge of the outer annular body and a first inner edge of the inner annular body. The adjustable-bolt-pattern-adaptor attachment mechanism is connected to the outer annular body and the inner annular body thus securing the gripping body to the clamping tool.
Lubricant supported electric motor with wheel support
A lubricant supported electric motor includes a stator extending along an axis, and a rotor rotatably disposed around the stator in radially surrounding and spaced relationship to define at least one support chamber. A lubricant is disposed in the support chamber for supporting the rotor around the stator. A wheel rim is fixedly attached to the rotor and is disposed in surrounding relationship with the rotor and the stator. Thus, in a first aspect, rotation of the rotor is directly transferred to the wheel rim such that the wheel rim rotates in accordance with the rotation of the rotor. In accordance with another aspect, the rotor is rotatably disposed within the stator, and a planetary gear reduction mechanism is operably interconnected to the rotor, the stator, and the wheel rim and configured to rotate the wheel rim in response to rotation of the rotor within the stator.
