Pneumatic tire manufacturing method, and pneumatic tire
A pneumatic tire manufacturing method is provided in which raw cover molding is suitably performed with no, or a minimal amount of, down-stitching in the manufacture of SOT-structure pneumatic tires; also provided is a pneumatic tire. This pneumatic tire manufacturing method involves: a step in which a sidewall, an inner liner, and a ply are bonded on a first molding drum, a pair of beads is set, and the tread side part is formed on the side wall, forming a first cover; a step in which a breaker and band are bonded on a second molding drum and the tread center part is formed on the band, shaping the tread ring; a step in which the first cover is inserted inside of the tread ring and the first cover is inflated, bonding the tread ring and the first cover with pressure; and a step in which the sidewall is folded back towards the lateral surface of the inflated first cover and bonded to the lateral surface of the first cover, and the tread side part and the tread center part are bonded together.
Tire With Pressure Zero Sidewall Hoop Rings and Method of Manufacture
The invention relates to a pneumatic tire with a toroidal shaped tire carcass having sidewalls and a tread. A typical method of allowing a tire to run even in a punctured state is a method of reinforcing the sidewall area to support the load in the airless state. The present invention discloses both sidewalls having a hoop ring circumferentially molded in-place at the middle portion of both sidewalls or as floating multiple hoop rings bonded in-place at the middle portion in the tire inside sidewalls for supporting the vehicle load in a run-flat condition.
PNEUMATIC TIRE
A pneumatic tire has a rim strip rubber. A height of the rim strip rubber on the basis of an outer diameter position of a bead core is equal to or more than 70% of a height of a tire outer diameter position. An upper end of a side reinforcing layer is arranged closer to an outer side radially than an upper end of a bead filler. A distance from a tire maximum width position to the upper end of the side reinforcing layer is equal to or less than 5 mm. The maximum thickness Tw of the rim strip rubber between the upper end of the bead filler and the upper end of the side reinforcing layer is greater than the maximum thickness Tm of the rim strip rubber closer to the outer side radially than the upper end of the side reinforcing layer.
Pneumatic Tire
The present technology provides a pneumatic tire that can improve air dispersibility during vulcanizing at the interfaces of a plurality of types of rubber layers integrally formed by rolling or extruding, and that can effectively suppress blister defects. In a pneumatic tire where a plurality of types of rubber layers integrally formed by rolling or extruding, at least one strand of thread is provided at an interface of the plurality of types of rubber.
