TIRE SUITABLE FOR RUNNING FLAT, PROVIDED WITH AN ELECTRONIC UNIT
Tyre suitable for running flat comprising a crown, two sidewalls and two beads, a carcass reinforcement anchored in each bead and a sidewall insert placed in each of the two sidewalls axially internally relative to the carcass reinforcement, such that it is equipped with an electronic device comprising at least one radiofrequency transponder and such that the electronic device is embedded in one of the sidewall inserts.
TIRE SUITABLE FOR RUNNING FLAT, PROVIDED WITH AN ELECTRONIC UNIT
A tire suitable for running flat comprises a crown, two sidewalls and two beads, a carcass reinforcement anchored in each bead and a sidewall insert placed in each of the two sidewalls axially internally relative to the carcass reinforcement, such that it is equipped with an electronic device comprising at least one radiofrequency transponder and such that the electronic device is placed radially in a zone representing over 55% of the section height of the tire.
RUN-FLAT TIRE
A run-flat tire has: a pair of bead cores; a carcass that straddles the pair of bead cores, and having end portions that are anchored on the bead cores; side reinforcing rubbers that are provided at tire side portions, and that extend in a tire radial direction along an inner surface of the carcass; a belt layer that is provided at an outer side, in a tire radial direction, of the carcass, and that is formed by covering a cord with resin; and a tread that is provided at an outer side, in a tire radial direction, of the belt layer.
Tire comprising a radiofrequency transponder
A tire fitted with a transponder comprises: a crown comprising a crown reinforcement having an axial end at each of its edges, connected at each of its axial ends by a sidewall to a bead having an interior end; a carcass reinforcement layer formed of parallel reinforcers, which is anchored in each bead around a bead wire to form a main part and a turn-up; and the transponder comprising a dipole antenna consisting of a spring defined by a pitch P and a diameter D. A ratio between the pitch (P1) and the diameter (D1) for a loop of a first region of the spring is greater than 0.8, and the transponder is situated axially on the outside of an interior end of the bead and radially between the upper end of the bead wire and the axial end of the crown reinforcement.
Tire having a radiofrequency transponder
A tire having a transponder comprises: a crown which has a crown reinforcement with an axial end at each edge, joined at each of its axial ends to a bead, which has an inner end, by a sidewall; a carcass reinforcement which is formed of adjacent first wires and is anchored in each bead around a spiral formed by second wires; the transponder comprising a core defining a first axis, a first cover wire helically wound around the core and an electrical insulation device; and the first cover wire comprising at least two conductive wire elements galvanically connected to an electronic chip comprising a radiofrequency transceiver component. The thickness of the elastomer mixture separating the outer cover wire, which is located furthest outwards from the first axis, and the reinforcements is greater than 0.5 millimeter.
ZERO-PRESSURE TIRE
A pneumatic radial tire includes a carcass structure having a pair of sidewalls and a crown, a pair of beads, a tread, a belt structure, and a plurality of reinforcing hoops. The plurality of spaced apart reinforcing hoops are disposed intermediate the crown of the carcass structure and the tread, and are formed of a rigid material coated in an elastomeric material. The plurality of reinforcing hoops includes a pair of outer reinforcing hoops disposed adjacent the sidewalls of the carcass, and an at least one inner reinforcing hoop disposed between the outer reinforcing hoops.
TIRE AND THREE-WHEELED VEHICLE WITH THE SAME
A tire includes a tread portion provided with a tread profile which is curved in an arcuate shape in a tire meridian section so that the tread portion includes a crown region contacting with the ground during straight running, and a pair of shoulder regions contacting with the ground during cornering by leaning the tire at a certain camber angle. The crown region has a land ratio of not less than 98%, and the shoulder regions have a land ratio of from 85% to 93%. A three-wheeled vehicle has a pair of front wheels and a single rear wheel on which the tire is mounted.
Tire with toroidal element
A tire includes a tread formed in a crown region of the tire and sidewall regions extending from the crown region to bead areas. The tire further includes a toroidal element extending across a crown region of the tire, and further extending along at least a portion of each sidewall region of the tire. The toroidal element has a central region located between inner and outer regions. The central region is more elastic than the inner and outer regions.
TIRE STRENGTHENING SYSTEM
A tire strengthening system for strengthening a tire is provided. The tire has an inner surface and an inner tube positioned against the inner surface with the inner surface having a pair of sidewalls and a tread area between the sidewalls. The tire strengthening system comprises an adhesive layer applied to the inner surface of the tire and a strengthening material positioned on the adhesive layer. The combined adhesive layer and strengthening material reinforces the structural integrity of the tire, enabling the tire to run longer and smoother and effectively preventing flat tires and blowouts from occurring.
Ballistic resilient run-flat tire, kit and method thereof
A ballistic resilient run-flat tire device, kit and method for manufacturing the same are presented for providing a vehicle a capability of traveling for at least 30 miles at 30 miles per hour, after the device has been compromised as of result of exposure due to ballistic ordinance rifle shots such as 7.6239 mm and 7.6254R or air loss from road hazard punctures. The device includes a tire carcass and a polyurethane inner coating inside the tire carcass that defines an inflatable hollow chamber within the ballistic resilient run-flat tire. The tire carcass has an annular tread, sidewalls, and beads. The polyurethane inner coating inside the tire carcass defining a hollow chamber provides additional protection along the sidewalls and tread of the tire carcass. The kit includes the un-interconnected elements of the device. The method includes the steps of curing, discharging, filling, injecting, introducing, mounting, obtaining, and preparing.
