BUMP STOP FOR NON-PNEUMATIC TIRE
A non-pneumatic tire includes an annular inner ring, an annular outer ring, and a support structure extending from the annular inner ring to the annular outer ring. The support structure includes a plurality of spokes, webbing, cells, or other open-sided support structure. The tire includes a bump stop. The bump stop includes an inner member radially extending from a radially outer surface of the annular inner ring. The inner member has a radially outer surface facing a radially inner surface of the annular outer ring. The bump stop includes an outer member radially extending from a radially inner surface of the annular outer ring. The outer member has a radially inner surface facing a radially outer surface of the annular inner ring.
Non-pneumatic support structure
A tire assembly transfers rotation about an axis from an outer flexible ring to an inner central rim. The tire assembly includes a spoke structure extending radially between the inner central rim and the outer flexible ring. The spoke structure defines a plurality of radially extending closed cavities and an alternating plurality of radially extending inlet openings disposed concentrically about the axis and allowing the flexible ring to deflect under load. The closed cavities extend axially and circumferentially at a helical angle relative to the axis.
Non-pneumatic tire with multi-piece web
A non-pneumatic tire includes a plurality of axially adjacent wheel portions. Each wheel portion has an inner ring, an outer ring, and a flexible, interconnected web extending between the inner ring and the outer ring. The flexible, interconnected web includes a plurality of web sectors disposed circumferentially about the tire to form a generally annular web. Each of the plurality of web sectors is hingedly connected to a pair of oppositely adjacent web sectors.
Reinforced resilient support for a non-pneumatic tire
A support structure for a non-pneumatic tire and a tire incorporating such support structure. A continuous membrane extends between a radially-inner leg and a radially-outer leg. Joints and reinforcement may be provided on sides of the membrane. An annular band may be connected with the radially-outer leg. A wheel, hub, or other structure may be connected with the radially-inner leg.
RUN-FLAT AND AIRLESS TIRES
A tire (10, 10′) for rotation about an axis of rotation (12) has a first wall portion (14) having a partially conical form, and a second wall portion (16) integrally formed and interconnected with the first wall portion at a transition region (18) so as to define an annular recess. A closure-limiting configuration includes a number of tubular reinforcing elements (20) arrayed around the annular recess. Each tubular reinforcing element has a wall with a closed cross-section. The tubular reinforcing elements (20) are spaced around the annular recess such that deformation of a compressed region of the tire under a load causes a change in shape of the tubular reinforcing elements in the compressed region.
Non-pneumatic tire with structural reinforcement member in tread part
A non-pneumatic tire includes a rim part configured to be coupled to an axle; a tread part formed in a shape of surrounding an outer side of the tire in a circumferential direction thereof and being in contact with the ground; a spoke part which is formed between the rim part and the tread part and is provided with an upper arch bodies and lower arch bodies of an arch shape to absorb impacts transmitted from the ground to the tread part; and a structural reinforcement part which is inserted into the inside of the tread part and is provided with a cord sheet member comprising a plurality of wires to perform load support and stress distribution of the spoke part.
Mounting wheel for motor vehicle and mounted assembly comprising such a mounting wheel
A mounting wheel (3) for a motor vehicle comprising an internal surface (2) and an external surface (4), the internal surface (2) not being visible when the mounting wheel (3) is mounted on the motor vehicle, and at least one fixing element (7) configured to attach the mounting wheel (3) to the motor vehicle. The fixing element (7) is arranged on the internal surface (2) of the mounting wheel (3) so that the fixing element (7) is not visible when the mounting wheel (3) is mounted on the motor vehicle.
Fixture for spoke to hub attachment for a non-pneumatic tire
An apparatus for assembling a non-pneumatic tire that includes a base and a plurality of elements that move relative to the base. The plurality of elements have a central axis, and the elements are disposed in a circumferential direction around the central axis and move in a radial direction towards and away from the central axis. A radial movement member, hub, and a plurality of spokes are also present. Each one of the spokes is disposed between adjacent ones of the elements. The elements and the spokes are moved inwards in the radial direction by the radial movement member towards the central axis so that the spokes are moved in the radial direction towards the hub. Adhesive engages the spokes and the hub at an attachment location of the spokes and the hub.
Wheel comprising a non-pneumatic tire
A wheel for a vehicle (e.g., a construction vehicle, an all-terrain vehicle, or other off-road vehicle) or other device, in which the wheel comprises a non-pneumatic tire and may be designed to enhance its use and performance and/or use and performance of the vehicle or other device, including, for example, to be able to be used longer and/or in more challenging conditions, such as, for instance, by being more thermally efficient (e.g., to avoid or reduce adverse effects such as rapid degradation in material properties that could otherwise arise due to excessive temperatures) and/or more resistant to cracking or other damage which could lead to premature failure (e.g., due to manufacturing artifacts and/or rocks and other hazards that can cut, chip, or tear it during use).
