Axle Tie Rod
An axle tie rod adapted to be secured to an axle tube of a utility vehicle includes a connecting element and at least one link element, wherein the connecting element has a first connecting section in which a welded connection with the link element can be produced, wherein the connecting element has a second connecting section in which a welded connection with an axle tube can be produced, and wherein the second connecting section is configured to engage around the axle tube.
Energy storing suspension components having retention recesses
Energy storing suspension components for use in suspension systems for wheeled vehicles and trailers, and suspension systems incorporating such energy storing suspension components are disclosed. The energy storing suspension components include an axle seat portion, a first end, and a first limb extending between the axle seat portion and the first end. The axle seat portion includes first and second surfaces with at least one of the first and second surfaces having at least two spaced apart recesses that are spaced from a center of the axle seat portion, the recesses being configured to receive respective protrusions extending from at least one suspension component that is connected to the energy storing suspension component when coupled within an axle coupling assembly.
Vehicle rigid axle and method of manufacturing same
A vehicle rigid axle with an axle beam, at the ends of which axle journals or wheel carriers, are arranged, and trailing arms rigidly attached with a spring bracket for supporting an air-suspension bellow, and a method for manufacturing the vehicle rigid axle. An axle beam section extending between the trailing arms, a trailing arm adjoining the axle beam section and the spring bracket are formed by two shell elements connected to each other, which form a hollow body. In an embodiment, the spring bracket is formed by a lower shell element forming an axle beam section extending between the two trailing arms, and the spring bracket is arranged so that the air-suspension bellow mounted on the spring bracket is penetrated by the central longitudinal axis of the axle beam section. Two shell elements made of sheet metal are formed and joined together to form a hollow body.
STRUT ROD MADE OF COMPOSITE MATERIAL FOR SUSPENSION OF FRONT AXLE OF VEHICLE
The invention relates to a strut rod made of composite material for a suspension of a front axle of a vehicle, including: an upper part coupled to a rod and piston assembly connected to a vehicle body; and a U-shaped lower part including two brackets for fixing a knuckle arm of the vehicle. This strut rod includes means for detecting a crack. This detection means includes at least one additional edge positioned so as to project from an outer surface of the U-shaped lower part of the strut rod in a region where a crack possibly occurs in the case of an accidental shock on a wheel of the vehicle.
Vehicle cable spacers and methods
A vehicle including a vehicle cable spacer coupled to an outboard arm of a suspension bracket and including: a body; a first face, directed toward the suspension bracket; a first anti-rotation tab extending inboard from the first face and engaging an edge of the suspension bracket; a second face spaced apart from the first face by a width of the body; and a second anti-rotation tab extending outboard from the second face; a cable cuff coupled to the second face of the vehicle cable spacer, an edge of the cable cuff engaging the second anti-rotation tab of the vehicle cable spacer; and a vehicle cable extending through the cable cuff such that the vehicle cable is spaced from the vehicle cable spacer.
Axle Suspension System Having an Axle Wrap and Method of Manufacture
An axle suspension system and a method of manufacture. The axle suspension system may have an axle, an axle wrap, and a weld seam. The axle wrap may have first and second wrap portions that mechanically interlock with each other and that have overlapping ends that may receive a weld seam.
SUSPENSION SYSTEM FOR A VEHICLE AND METHOD OF ADJUSTING REAR CONTROL ARM GEOMETRY FOR SAME
A vehicle suspension includes and axle. An upper control arm bracket is fixedly positioned relative to the axle and defines a first axis. An upper control arm is rotatably coupled to the upper control arm bracket about the first axis. A lower control arm bracket is fixedly positioned relative to the axle and defines a second axis. A lower control arm is rotatably coupled to the lower control arm bracket about the second axis. An upper control arm relocation bracket is configured to be mounted to the axle and includes a clevis defining a third axis and configured to rotatably couple the upper control arm about the third axis. The relocation bracket includes a first aperture coaxial with the first axis when the relocation bracket is mounted to the axle and a second aperture coaxial with the second axis when the relocation bracket is mounted to the axle.
Axle bracket liner
Liner assemblies for axle brackets of axle coupling assemblies are disclosed. The liner assemblies include a body having an elongated base and at least one extension member having a connector. Liner assembly and axle bracket combinations and method of connecting liner assemblies to axle brackets also are disclosed, with the liner assemblies including a body having an elongated base and at least one extension member having at least one connector, with the axle brackets including a body having a central portion and including at least one connector receiver configured to receive the at least one connector of the at least one extension member of the liner assemblies.
Axle Unit
The present invention concerns an axle unit comprising a stub axle and an axle tube, wherein the stub axle has a longitudinal channel which extends inside the stub axle substantially along a stub axis, wherein the stub axle has a transverse channel which extends inside the stub axle substantially transversely to the stub axis and opens to the environment at the outer face of the stub axle, wherein the longitudinal channel and the transverse channel are connected together, wherein the stub axle has a stub joining region to which the hollow-bodied axle tube can be secured.
Vehicle suspension assembly
A vehicle suspension assembly includes an axle member, a pair of mounting brackets configured to couple to a vehicle frame, and a trailing arm arrangement that includes a first trailing arm portion having a first end pivotably coupled to one of the pair of mounting brackets, and a second end rotationally coupled with the axle member at a first position, a second trailing arm portion having a second end pivotably coupled to the other of the pair of mounting brackets, and a second end rotationally coupled with the axle member at a second position, and a first torsional member having a first end fixedly coupled to the first trailing arm portion and a second end fixedly secured to the axle member at a third position, the first torsional member configured to transmit torsion of the axle member to the first trailing arm portion.
