VEHICLE CONVERTIBLE TOP SYSTEMS
A vehicle includes a vehicle body with a truck bed at least partially defining a cargo area, a tonneau cover at least partially enclosing the cargo area, a vehicle interior with passenger seating, and a modular, multi-component hard top assembly. The hard top assembly is configured to selectively and removably couple interchangeably between (i) the vehicle body to provide an enclosed configuration at least partially enclosing the vehicle interior and (ii) the tonneau cover. The multi-component hard top assembly is detachable from the vehicle body to provide an open air configuration for the vehicle interior.
REMOVABLE REAR WINDOW ASSEMBLY
A vehicle includes a body having a wall extending cross-vehicle and having an upper edge defining a roller surface with at least one locator aperture, a structural frame at least partially defining a rear window opening with the wall, and a removable rear window assembly configured for removable coupling with the vehicle. The removable rear window assembly includes at least one rolling locator assembly configured to roll across the roller surface to support at least a portion of a weight of the rear window assembly to facilitate assisting a user with installing and/or removing the rear window assembly into or out of the rear window opening.
VEHICLE CONVERTIBLE TOP SYSTEMS
A vehicle includes a vehicle body including a truck bed at least partially defining a cargo area, a vehicle interior with front passenger seating and rear passenger seating, and a modular, multi-component hard top assembly. The hard top assembly is configured to selectively and removably couple interchangeably between (i) the vehicle body to provide an enclosed configuration at least partially enclosing the vehicle interior, and (ii) the truck bed to function as a truck bed storage cover to enclose the cargo area and provide a securable storage compartment. The multi-component hard top assembly is detachable from the vehicle body to provide an open air configuration for the vehicle interior.
VEHICLE CONVERTIBLE TOP SYSTEMS
A vehicle includes a vehicle body including a truck bed at least partially defining a cargo area, a vehicle interior with passenger seating, and a multi-component hard top assembly configured to selectively and removably couple to the vehicle body to provide an enclosed configuration at least partially enclosing the vehicle interior. The multi-component hard top assembly includes a rear window assembly configured to selectively and removably couple to the vehicle body.
VEHICLE CONVERTIBLE TOP SYSTEMS
A modular, multi-component hard top assembly for a vehicle having an interior with front passenger seating, rear passenger seating, and a rear cargo area is provided. In one example implementation, the hard top assembly includes a base frame configured to removably couple to a body of the vehicle, and a plurality of removable roof panels selectively coupleable to the base frame to create a substantially contiguous roof over the vehicle interior. Each removable roof panel of the plurality of removable roof panels is separately removable from the base frame to provide an open air configuration at that specific location of the hard top assembly while enabling a user to detach, remove, and transport a smaller portion of the hard top assembly without assistance or specialized equipment.
Lighting systems of tailgates with plastic glazing
A plastic glazing of a tailgate of a vehicle is provided, the plastic glazing comprising: a first translucent component; a second translucent component molded onto the first translucent component, wherein the second translucent component comprises a color, wherein the plastic glazing is of one-piece molded plastic construction, wherein an overlapping portion of the first translucent component and the second translucent component forms a lens of a first molded light assembly.
Lighting systems of tailgates with plastic glazing
A plastic glazing (100) of a tailgate of a vehicle is provided, the plastic glazing (100) comprising: a first translucent component (302); a second translucent component (304) molded onto the first translucent component (302), wherein the second translucent component (304) comprises a color, wherein the plastic glazing (100) is of one-piece molded plastic construction, wherein an overlapping portion of the first translucent component (302) and the second translucent component (304) forms a lens of a first molded light assembly.
VEHICLE REAR SLIDER WINDOW ASSEMBLY WITH HOTMELT RAIL ATTACHMENT
A vehicular slider window assembly includes at least one fixed window panel that defines an opening, an upper rail and a lower rail attached at the at least one fixed window panel, and a movable window panel that is movable along the upper rail and the lower rail. The movable window panel is movable between a closed position and an opened position. Each of the upper and lower rails comprises a recess for receiving adhesive therein. The recess is established along an attaching surface of the respective one of the upper and lower rails with a wall of the respective one of the upper and lower rails at least partially circumscribing the recess. The upper and lower rails are adhesively attached at the at least one fixed window panel via hotmelt adhesive dispensed at and along the respective recesses.
Sliding vehicle window having minimal perimeter seal
A vehicle includes a window having an internal opening defined by an angled edge forming a clear space generally shaped as a truncated pyramid. An operable window panel is slidable relative to the internal opening to define open and closed positions. A compressible elastic sealing member is disposed along the angled edge, wherein the sealing member defines a substantially convex profile when the operable window panel in the open position. A guide assembly is positioned adjacent an interior surface of the window and adapted to guide the operable window panel between the open and closed positions. The closed position is defined by an outer surface of the operable window panel being co-planar with an exterior surface of the window. The closed position is further characterized by the sealing member being deformed to occupy at least the seam defined between the window and the operable window panel.
