Diesel exhaust fluid cap assembly for vehicle and diesel exhaust fluid supply system including the same
A diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) cap assembly for a vehicle includes: a body having a first opening and a second opening arranged at an opposite side of the first opening, the second opening configured to be opened and closed; a flange portion protruding radially outward between the first opening and the second opening of the body, and having a plurality of through holes and a flange gasket configured to be sealably coupled to a mounting subject on which the flange portion is mounted; and a membrane member coupled to the flange portion, and configured to cover the plurality through holes and allow air flow.
FUEL CAP AND SPRING ASSEMBLY
The present invention provides a fuel cap including a body and a spring positioned on the body that inhibits unintended removal of the cap from a fuel filler neck, the spring secured on the cap by a cam pin that is used to secure the cap on the cam ramp of a fuel filler neck.
Tank and filler tube device with protective arrangement
A tank defines an inner cavity and at least an opening. A filler tube device comprises a tube passing through the opening in the tank, the tube forming a joint with at least one degree of freedom with the tank such that the tube is displaceable relative to the tank. The tube has an open end in the inner cavity of the tank, and an opposite open end outside of the tank, whereby the tube defines a passage for filling the tank. A sealing component is in the inner cavity of the tank, the sealing component configured for collaborating with the open end of the tube when the tube is moved into engagement therewith to close the open end of the tube inside the tank in a protective position.
FUEL FILLER CAP
A tank closure that includes a first tank closure member, a second tank closure member, and a bias member having a spring force to brace the second tank closure against the first tank closure member. The first tank closure member has a first stop member, while the second tank closure member has a second stop member. The second tank closure member is flexibly mounted in an axial direction relative to the first tank closure member, the second tank closure member. The second stop member, in a closed position of the tank closure, forms a mechanical stop relative to the first stop member to prevent axial movement of the second tank closure member relative to the first tank closure member against the spring force of the bias member.
Refuelling Coupling
A refuelling coupling has an annular fitting 101 having a bore 102, bayonet lugs 103 and slots 104 suiting it for connection to a pressure filling nozzle. A flange 122, drilled with screw holes for securement to a fuel tank (not shown), extends out from the fitting 101. Also not shown for the sake of clarity is a tube extending own from the flange. Rods extend down from the flange 122 to a spider 125, with springs bearing upwards onto the underside of a dry-break member 105, through which the rods extend. The rods, springs and spider are within the non-shown tube.
On attaching and opening of a pressure filling nozzle to the coupling, the dry-break member 105 is displaced resiliently inwards fuel can flow past this member and into the tank.
The dry-break member has a central aperture 111, normally closed by a plug 112, which is threaded externally 114 and carries an O-ring seal 115 above the thread. The central aperture has a plain bore orifice 116 and is threaded 117 below the plain bore. Thus, when the plug is screwed in, the dry-break member is fluid tight as normal.
Tank Closure for Motor Vehicles
A tank closure for motor vehicles, includes a locking part (12) for locking on a complementary locking part of the tank nozzle, a closure part (14) for covering an opening of the tank nozzle, and an axially compressible sealing ring (20) surrounding the locking part (12) and supported on a flange (18) of the closure part (14), wherein the flange (18) has, at least on a part of its circumference, a bead (26) which is integrally formed on its surface (24) facing the sealing ring (20) and which is elevated relative to the surface (24), wherein the inner edge of the bead has a radius that is greater than the radius of the peak (34) of the sealing ring.
Lock device of fuel tank cap
A lock device of a fuel tank cap includes: a cap configured to open and close a fuel filler port; an operating unit; a fastening unit movable in conjunction with an operation of the operating unit; a lock unit configured to lock movement of the fastening unit from a fastening position to a allowing position; and a detection switch configured to detect start of the movement of the fastening unit accompanying the operation of the operating unit. The fastening unit includes: a first fastening unit of which the start of movement can be detected by the detection switch; and a second fastening unit which enables locking by the lock unit and which is integrally moved with the first fastening unit after the first fastening unit is moved by a predetermined dimension so that the second fastening unit can be moved from the fastening position to the allowing position.
Filling Device for a Pressure Vessel of a Motor Vehicle and Motor Vehicle Having a Pressure Vessel and a Filling Device
A filling device for a pressure vessel of a motor vehicle includes a filling neck via which an operating medium can be filled into a pressure vessel, a dust cap which can be plugged onto the filling neck and which, together with the filling neck, delimits a filling volume. A housing apparatus includes a main element and a cover element which can be adjusted relative to the main element between an open position and a closed position which, together with the main element, delimits a housing interior. The dust cap is arranged in the housing interior. At least one ventilation channel, which is delimited in regions by the dust cap, extends from the filling volume into an environment separated from the housing interior by way of the cover in its closed position and has at least one direction-reversing element.
CLOSING SYSTEM FOR VEHICLE SUPPLY SYSTEM
A closing system is provided which includes a frame adapted to be mounted on a vehicle supply system, the frame being shaped as a spherical segment and extending between a first circular section and a second circular section. The frame has a plurality of first and second guides, arranged on a radially outer surface. The closing system has a plurality of curved panels, each curved panel being shaped as a spherical cap portion and constrained at a first end and a second end thereof to slide, respectively, along a first guide and a second guide between a first position, in which the curved panels jointly define an opening that allows access to the vehicle supply system, and a second position, in which the curved panels prevent access to the supply system. Control means control movement of the curved panels between the first and second positions.
Closure device for a fluid container
A closure device for a fluid container, in particular a hydraulic tank, has a base (4), which can be attached to the container opening and has a cover part (2), which encloses a ventilation and/or a filter device (36). The cover part (2) is held on the base (4) so as to be freely rotatable in a functional unlocking position. In a functional locking position, the closure device permits the container opening to be unlocked by a safety device (48, 50, 58) while connecting the cover part (2) to the base (4). The safety device (48, 50, 58) can be actuated by a magnetic device generating a magnetic field (62). The magnetic device establishes the functional locking position of the cover (2) and the base (4) by magnetic force.
