DUAL POWER SUPPLY APPARATUS FOR AUTONOMOUS VEHICLE AND METHOD THEREOF
A dual power supply apparatus includes a main power grid that supplies power by a first battery to an autonomous vehicle and a redundant power grid that supplies power to a dual power load based on a second battery, in an emergency driving mode due to a failure in the main power grid.
Battery discharge limit control system and method
A battery discharge limit control system is provided. The system includes a motor driven by receiving the power stored in a battery and a clutch connected to the rotary shaft of the motor. Additionally, an engine includes the rotary shaft connected to the rotary shaft of the motor through the clutch and a transmission changes the rotational speed of the rotary shaft of the motor or the engine based on the input of the shift stage instruction to output the rotational speed to a driving wheel of a vehicle. A controller opens the clutch and drives the motor in the reverse rotation, when the input of the shift stage instruction is a reverse shift stage.
ELECTRIC MARINE PROPULSION SYSTEM AND CONTROL METHOD
A method of controlling an electric marine propulsion system configured to propel a marine vessel includes receiving a user-set distance, identifying a battery charge level of a power storage system on a marine vessel and identifying an energy utilization value. An output limit is then determined based on a remaining distance, the battery charge level, and the energy utilization value. The propulsion system is then automatically controlled so as to not exceed the output limit, enabling the marine vessel to travel the user-set distance without recharging the power storage system.
CONTROL OF VEHICLE AND HOME ENERGY STORAGE SYSTEMS
Responsive to indication that a predicted amount of solar or wind power from a power generating event will exceed a power storage capability of one or more power storage devices configured to receive the solar or wind power, controllers may command the one or more power storage devices to discharge energy to a power grid before the power generating event such that the power storage capability of the one or more power storage devices increases.
SYSTEM AND METHOD OF MONITORING BATTERY
A battery monitoring system includes a data receiver configured to receive battery information data and vehicle information data from a data collecting device connected to a vehicle, a battery management score calculator configured to calculate, based on the battery information data and the vehicle information data, factors affecting battery degradation among a charging habit, a driving habit, and a parking habit of a user, calculate, based on the factors, a battery management score, and store the battery management score in a database, and an information transmitter configured to transmit the battery management score to a terminal.
BATTERY CONTROL SYSTEM
A battery control system and method selectively connect battery strings to one or more conductive buses by plural electrically controllable switches. The switches are controlled to one or more of (a) connect the strings with one or more of the load or the power source via the one or more conductive buses in a first sequence and/or (b) disconnect the strings from one or more of the load or the power source via the one or more conductive buses in a second sequence. The first sequence and the second sequence are based on one or more of states of charge between the strings, different charge capacities between the strings, different electric currents conducted through the strings, different polarities of the electric currents conducted through the strings, and/or a speed of a vehicle that is powered by the one or more loads.
BATTERY LEDGER MANAGEMENT SYSTEM AND METHOD OF BATTERY LEDGER MANAGEMENT
A battery ledger management system, includes: a data collecting unit receiving battery production information from an external source, and receiving battery information data and vehicle information data from a data collecting device; a battery ID generation and management unit generating a unique battery ID for each battery unit based on the battery production information; a state information generation and management unit generating and managing state information, information on a current usage state of the battery for the battery ID of each battery unit using the battery information data and the vehicle information data; and a usage information generation and management unit generating and managing usage information, information on a usage history of the battery for the battery ID of each battery unit using the battery information data and the vehicle information data.
ELECTRIFIED VEHICLE
An electrified vehicle includes a motor connected to wheels and configured to perform regenerative braking at the wheels, a battery configured to store regenerative electric power output by the motor through the regenerative braking, and a controller configured to control the regenerative braking such that a braking torque applied to the wheels is less than or equal to a maximum braking torque and the regenerative electric power output by the motor is lower than or equal to a maximum regenerative electric power. The controller is configured to be able to change the maximum regenerative electric power and, when the controller has changed the maximum regenerative electric power, change the maximum braking torque.
