Torque deration in response traction control events
A method, apparatus, and system are disclosed for incrementally derating a torque applied by a drivetrain in response a number of traction control events detected by a traction control system over a predetermined time period.
Electric drive vehicle with low speed creep
Systems and methods to control the vehicle speed of a vehicle includes a motor and a controller coupled to the motor. The controller is structured to: determine that a speed of a vehicle is at or above a predetermined speed limit; activate a motor speed governor responsive to an input received by the controller, wherein the motor speed governor is structured to control a vehicle speed; and adjust an output torque based on the vehicle speed being at or above the predetermined speed limit.
Vehicle braking control device
Provided is a vehicle braking control device applicable to a vehicle equipped with an electric-powered parking braking device, a hydraulic braking device and a regenerative braking device. The braking control device comprises a first braking control unit and a second braking control unit. When a parking braking operation is performed while the vehicle is travelling, the first braking control unit implements a first braking process which increases the braking force to the vehicle by operating the hydraulic braking device. When the braking force to the vehicle needs to be increased in a situation where the first braking process is being implemented, the second braking control unit implements a second braking process which increases the braking force to the vehicle by operating the regenerative braking device.
VEHICLE CONTROL DEVICE
To obtain a vehicle control device capable of creating a route that facilitates tracing by a vehicle in autonomous driving and improving positional accuracy of the vehicle at the time of tracing. A vehicle control device (520) of the present invention includes an oversteer angle determination unit (508) that determines whether or not a steering angle of a vehicle (10) is an oversteer angle, a stationary steering determination unit (509) that determines whether or not stationary steering operation is performed on a vehicle, a route storage mode detection unit (505) that determines whether or not a route storage mode is set, a specific operation detection unit (507) that determines whether a steering angle is the oversteer angle or the stationary steering operation is performed in the route storage mode, and an output unit that outputs a control command of steering angle restriction control that restricts steering operation of a driver in the route storage mode in a case where the specific operation detection unit determines that a steering angle is the oversteer angle or the stationary steering operation is performed.
BRAKE CONTROL APPARATUS
Provided is a brake control apparatus of an automobile that drives drive wheels by an electric motor to which electric power is supplied from a battery and obtains a braking force by regenerative braking of the electric motor while charging the battery, including: a speed change process unit configured to increase a rotation speed of the electric motor with respect to a rotation speed of the drive wheels when operating the regenerative braking.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR PERFORMING REGENERATIVE BRAKING BY CONTROLLING DISCONNECTOR OF FOUR-WHEEL DRIVE VEHICLE
An apparatus for performing regenerative braking by controlling a disconnector of a vehicle includes a computing device to calculate a braking amount necessary for braking, a controller to engage or release the disconnector of the vehicle, based on the calculated braking amount, and a distributing device to distribute a regenerative braking amount necessary for braking into at least one motor included in the vehicle, when the disconnector is engaged or released.
CONTROL METHOD FOR A ROAD VEHICLE WITH INDEPENDENT ENGINES ACTING ON THE WHEELS OF THE SAME AXLE AND RELATIVE ROAD VEHICLE
A method to control a road vehicle driven by a driver and provided with at least a first drive wheel and a second driver wheel belonging to a same axle, each drive wheel being independently operated by a respective first and second electric motor; the control method comprises the step of controlling the torque delivered by each respective motor to the first drive wheel or to the second drive wheel as a function of a torque requested by the driver and independently of the difference in angular speed between the first and the second wheel.
Vehicle
A vehicle includes a common pedal that receives an acceleration operation and a deceleration operation in accordance with a depression amount, a deceleration deriving unit that derives a deceleration of the vehicle based on the deceleration operation of the common pedal, a first distance deriving unit that derives a predicted stopping distance that is a distance between a current position of the vehicle and a predicted stop position at which the vehicle is predicted to stop when travelling at the derived deceleration, a second distance deriving unit that derives a target stopping distance that is a distance between the current position of the vehicle and a target stop position at which the vehicle is to stop, and a deceleration correcting unit that corrects the deceleration of the vehicle based on the predicted stopping distance and the target stopping distance.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PROVIDING TOWING BRAKING ASSISTANCE DURING IN-FLIGHT CHARGING OF ELECTRIFIED VEHICLES
Systems and methods for coordinating and providing braking assistance between towing vehicles and towed vehicles during towing events, such as bidirectional charging towing events, are provided. The towing braking assistance may be provided by the towed vehicle in the form of an assistive braking torque output to assist the towing vehicle with meeting a target deceleration rate during the towing event. The assistive braking torque output may be provided to account for mutual vehicle deceleration events, brake compensation or brake fade events, and stability events of the coupled vehicles during the towing events, for example.
