SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR FLEXIBLE CHARGER RESERVATIONS
20230039307 · 2023-02-09 ·

Systems and methods for flexible charger reservations are provided. In one embodiment, a method includes providing, from a charging entity, a user a flexible charger option for charging an electric vehicle at a first place at a first time. The flexible charger option is associated with a flexible charger compensation offer including a user benefit. The method includes generating an initial reservation for the user at the first place and the first time. The initial reservation is associated with a first cost for the charging entity. The method includes providing the user with the user benefit in response to the user selecting the flexible charger option. The method includes detecting a grid event that changes the first cost for the charging entity. The method includes generating a revised reservation for the electric vehicle associated with a second cost for the charging entity that is less than the first cost.

CONTROLLER FOR VEHICLE, AND CHARGING SYSTEM

A server includes a communication device and a processor. The communication device obtains a power rate unit price dependent on a region where external charging is performed and a time slot when external charging is performed. The processor calculates a first power rate indicating a power rate when the external charging is performed with a first power feeding facility provided at a departure place before departure of a vehicle, calculates a second power rate indicating a power rate when the external charging is performed with a second power feeding facility provided in the vicinity of a traveling route after departure of the vehicle, and when the second power rate is lower than the first power rate, reduces an amount of power feeding during the external charging with the first power feeding facility, as compared with when the second power rate is equal to or higher than the first power rate.

METHOD AND SYSTEM OF CONTROLLING POWER FACTOR CORRECTION CIRCUIT

A method for controlling a power factor correction circuit includes: sensing, by a control unit, an input signal; deriving, by the control unit, a delay correction input signal using the input signal and a previous input signal that is sensed before the input signal; and controlling, by the control unit, the power factor correction circuit using the derived delay correction input signal.

HIERARCHICAL ENERGY MANAGEMENT SOLUTION

A management method for an electric vehicle charging station system. The charging station system includes: several charging stations, each equipped with several charging terminals and one local manager able to pilot the charging terminals; and a main manager able to drive the charging stations. The method includes: the local manager of each charging station getting information associated with vehicles connected to the charging terminals and determining an optimization proposal for electric energy transfer at the level of the charging station; the main manager allocating electric power each charging station on the basis of the optimization proposals; and the local manager of each charging station driving charging terminals based on the allocated power.
