SEAT FOR VEHICLES
The present invention has an object to provide a seat for vehicles in which a seat cushion escape mechanism can be space-saving. A seat for vehicles which has an escape mechanism (300) to shift a seat cushion frame (200) disposed on a base part (5) from a seating posture (200-1) to an escape posture (200-3) with the frame (200) placed forward of the base part (5) includes: a support leg part (301) having one end rotatably connected to the frame (200) and the other end rotatably connected to the base part (5); a guide part (201a) to be engaged with the one end of the support leg part (301) to guide the one end so as to lift the one end; a coil spring (305) biasing the support leg part (301) so as to have the one end guided by the guide part (201a) and flip up a portion (303) connected with the frame (200); and a second coil spring which is provided at the other end and applies a biasing force so as to rotate the one end of the support leg part (301) forward with the other end as a center.
Barrier with Integrated Wheelchair Restraints
The embodiment described and claimed herein are improved barrier-type wheelchair securement systems. In particular, one embodiment of a barrier includes an integral shoulder belt assembly, two integral wheelchair restraint assemblies, and two integral lap belt assemblies. The wheelchair restraint and lap belt assemblies comprise retractors which can be mounted external or internal to the barrier. The integral shoulder belt assembly could be connected to a vertical telescoping member which is movable from a first position, wherein the telescoping member is housed inside of the barrier, to a second position, wherein the shoulder belt assembly is disposed at a proper height for a wheelchair passenger. Alternatively, the shoulder belt assembly could be rigidly mounted to the barrier in a fixed position, or could be adjustable to accommodate passengers of varying size.
