A seat assembly includes a seat cushion having an external surface and defining a recess therein, the recess being open to the external surface and being sized to receive one or more bezel components and a trim cover assembly disposed over the seat cushion. The trim cover assembly includes a trim cover having an A-side as an occupant surface and a B-side, opposite the A-side, facing the external surface of the seat cushion, with the trim cover defining a cover opening therethrough generally corresponding to the recess in the seat cushion. The trim cover also has a plurality of flaps spaced about the cover opening, with each flap having an inner portion towards the cover opening and an outer portion opposite the inner portion. The trim cover assembly also includes a bezel support member having an A-surface contacting the B-side of the trim cover, and a B-surface opposite the A-surface. The bezel support member has an inner periphery defining a support opening corresponding to the cover opening, and an outer periphery, where the flaps of the trim cover are folded through the support opening and secured to at least a portion of the bezel support member or to the trim cover to support the cover opening. The seat assembly also includes a bezel disposed in the recess and having a peripheral edge supported on the A-surface on the bezel support member.

In a vehicle seat, a back pad outer skin covering a surface of a back pad includes a first portion covering a surface of one part, including a side face, of a bolster pad part, and second portions covering a surface of another part that is different from the one part of the bolster pad part. A bound part is formed by binding to each other mutually adjacent end parts of the first portion and the second portions and extremity parts of expansive force transmission webbings having base portions fixed to a frame, the bound part being capable of breaking when an airbag is made to expand. A non-stretchable cloth member is disposed on a reverse side of specific outer skin portions, covering a front face of the bolster pad part, of the second portions.

A seatback shell mounting device removably secures a seatback shell to a seatback frame. The seatback shell includes a support member with a base secured to the seatback shell and an outwardly extending arm with an elbow. The elbow is shaped to mate with an upper seatback frame element. A fastening member has a base secured to the seatback shell and an outwardly extending resilient lever arm with a cam surface and a step formed on an underside. The lever arm is shaped to define an underside cradle. The mounting device facilitates assembly and removal of a seatback shell onto a seatback frame.

A seat capable of creating a shape conforming to a curved surface of a pad. The seat includes: a pad having a curved first surface and a second surface; an outer cover covering the pad, the outer cover having an inward-suspending portion inwardly suspended in the pad; and a holding member having bending-allowing elasticity, the holding member holding a shape of the inward-suspending portion. The inward-suspending portion extends continuously from the first surface to the second surface of the pad. The holding member is fixed to a part of the inward-suspending portion, the part extending continuously from the first surface to the second surface of the pad. The inward-suspending portion is fastened only to the second surface of the pad, and is disposed on the first surface in a state of the inward-suspending portion being bent together with the holding member along the curved surface of the first surface.

A modular seatback cover attachment system is disclosed. The modular seatback cover attachment system may include one or more trim caps including one or more tabs configured to reversibly couple the one or more trim caps to one or more portions of a seatback frame. The one or more tabs may include at least one of one or more hook tabs or one or more panel tabs. The modular seatback cover attachment system may include an interlocking assembly configured to interlock the one or more trim caps when the one or more trim caps are coupled to the seatback frame. The modular seatback cover attachment system may include a fastening assembly configured to couple the one or more trim caps to a portion of the dress cover.

A trim panel is sized to be attached to a lower region of a seat back and extend over a portion of a seat bottom. The trim panel is formed from a flexible material without carpet.

A lengthwise fastener is fastened to a trim cover along a seam to provide piping exposed along the seam.

A skin locking clip that is firmly supported by a pad is provided. The skin locking clip (10) is disposed in a groove (8) of a pad (5) of a vehicle seat or the like, and fixes a locked portion (6c) attached to a skin material. The skin locking clip (10) includes a base plate (11), a locking piece (12) erected on the base plate (11) to lock the locked portion (6c), and an overhanging piece (13) erected on the base plate. Since the overhanging piece (13) is supported by the pad (5), the skin locking clip (10) is firmly supported by the pad (5).

A lengthwise fastener is fastened to a trim cover along a seam to provide piping exposed along the seam.

A flexible lengthwise fastener is provided with a first retainer provided with a lengthwise substrate. The lengthwise fastener is also provided with a second retainer provided with a lengthwise substrate to engage with the lengthwise substrate of the first retainer. When the first retainer and the second retainer are combined, the first retainer and the second retainer provide the appearance of a traditional seam.
