Occupant protection device
An occupant protection device, protecting an occupant seated in a seat, includes: a seat belt; and an airbag which is arranged in an area of a lap belt in the seat belt. The airbag includes a bag body and a regulatory tether. A thigh abutment surface abutting on a thigh of the occupant is arranged on a lower surface side of the bag body, and an upper body restraining surface restraining an upper body of the occupant is arranged on a rear surface side. The regulatory tether connects a base end to a rear surface side of an upper-lower intermediate portion of the bag body and connects a tip extending downward from the base end to the lap belt side and a length dimension is set a dimension in which a connecting portion connecting the base end of the bag body can be pulled toward the lap belt side.
Front passenger seat airbag
A front passenger seat airbag includes an attachment portion provided on a front end side when inflation has been completed, an occupant protection portion provided on a rear end side to protect the occupant when inflation has been completed, and a cavity portion formed at an intermediate portion between the attachment portion and the occupant protection portion in a manner of penetrating the front passenger seat airbag substantially along a left-right direction. A left edge side and/or a right edge side of the occupant protection portion when inflation has been completed is formed with a protruding region protruding rearward and outward with respect to a central region. At least one of upper and lower edges of an occupant side panel is coupled to an end of the peripheral wall panel. An outer peripheral panel portion of the panel portion is a concave portion in a flatly deployed state.
OVERHEAD SEAT-MOUNTED AIRBAG
A vehicle seat includes a seatback defining an occupant seating area and an airbag mounted to the seatback. The airbag has a top chamber inflatable above the occupant seating area and elongated from the seatback in a seat-forward direction. The airbag has two side chambers inflatable downwardly from the top chamber on opposite sides of the occupant seating area. The top chamber has a plurality of tubular segments each elongated in the seat-forward direction and disposed in a cross-seat direction relative to each other.
AIRBAG HAVING MULTIPLE INFLATION CHAMBERS SUPPORTED ON A DASH
An assembly for a vehicle includes a dash. The assembly includes an airbag supported by the dash and being inflatable to an inflated position. The airbag includes a knee chamber, a chest chamber supported by the knee chamber in the inflated position, and a head chamber supported by the chest chamber in the inflated position. The chest chamber is connected to the knee chamber at a lower seam that defines a lower fluid pathway. The head chamber is connected to the chest chamber at an upper seam that defines an upper fluid pathway. The assembly includes an inflator supported by the dash and being connected directly to the knee chamber.
VEHICLE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY
An airbag includes a U-shaped chamber, a head-impact chamber, and an uninflatable panel. The U-shaped chamber has a first side leg, a second side leg, and a top extending from the first side leg to the second side leg. The head-impact chamber is disposed between the first side leg and the second side leg. The uninflatable panel extends from the first leg to the second leg adjacent the head-impact chamber.
Side airbag device
A side airbag device is provided in a seat back of a vehicle seat. The side airbag device includes: a primary airbag configured to be inflated and deployed forward and in an up-and-down direction from an outer portion of the seat back in a vehicle width direction; and a secondary airbag connected to an inner portion of the primary airbag in the vehicle width direction, communicating with the primary airbag through a first communication hole, and configured to be inflated and deployed inward in the vehicle width direction from the primary airbag. The first communication hole is at least partially arranged more forward than a front surface of the outer portion of the seat back in an inflated and deployed state of the primary airbag. The secondary airbag comes in contact with a front surface of the seat back in an inflated and deployed state of the secondary airbag.
AIR BAG CUSHION FOR VEHICLE
An air bag cushion for a vehicle. A tether reinforcing fabric coupled to a tether seam portion of main cushion is used to allow the tether reinforcing fabric to inflate with the main cushion when the main cushion inflates, and the inflating tether reinforcing fabric forms an auxiliary chamber between the main cushion and the tether reinforcing fabric, and the auxiliary chamber of the tether reinforcing fabric supports the head of a passenger in a front passenger seat in the event of a crash, thereby preventing the rotation of the passenger’s head of the front passenger seat and by efficiently protecting the safety of the front passenger.
VEHICLE CROSSBAR MOVABLE ALONG PILLARS
An assembly for a vehicle includes a first pillar and a second pillar spaced cross-vehicle from the first pillar. The assembly includes a crossbar movably supported by the first pillar and the second pillar. The crossbar is movable along the first pillar and the second pillar from a raised position to a lowered position. The assembly includes an airbag supported by the crossbar.
AIRBAG APPARATUS FOR VEHICLE
An airbag apparatus for a vehicle includes an airbag disposed on behind an instrument panel and configured to be expanded and deployed rearward of the vehicle so as to be positioned on a front side of an occupant. The airbag includes a recess in a rear surface of the airbag that are to be opened rearward of the vehicle and positioned on the front side of the occupant's head, an upper expansion to be expanded rearward and on an upper side of the recess and extend in the vehicle lateral direction, left and right side expansions in pairs to be expanded rearward and on opposite sides of the recess in the airbag's width direction, and a lower expansion that is to be expanded rearward and on a lower side of the recess, extend in the vehicle lateral direction, and be positioned on the front side of the occupant's chest.
CURTAIN AIRBAG FOR VEHICLE
A curtain airbag apparatus of a vehicle includes: a main chamber mounted on the vehicle from a side of an occupant, and configured to be deployed by being supplied gas therein, and pressurized in colliding with the occupant in the deployed state; a vent hole spaced from an inflow path through which the gas flows into the main chamber, and opened for the gas inside the main chamber to flow; and a venting chamber connected to the main chamber so that the gas inside the main chamber flows into through the vent hole, wherein a gas flow through the vent hole from the main chamber to the venting chamber is restricted within the vent hole or the venting chamber.
