MULTILAYER FILM, LAMINATE, AIRBAG, AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING LAMINATE
A multilayer film, which is used upon being adhered to a fabric, includes an adhesive layer to be a side of the multilayer film to be adhered to the fabric, the adhesive layer including a thermoplastic polyester elastomer and a polymer having a Shore D hardness of less than 80; and a barrier layer bonded to the adhesive layer, the barrier layer including a thermoplastic elastomer.
MULTILAYER FILM, LAMINATE, AIRBAG, AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING LAMINATE
A multilayer film, which is used upon being adhered to a fabric, includes an adhesive layer to be a side of the multilayer film to be adhered to the fabric; and a barrier layer bonded to the adhesive layer. Each of the adhesive layer and the barrier layer includes a thermoplastic polyester elastomer. A melting point of the barrier layer is higher than a melting point of the adhesive layer. A ratio value of a content ratio of a soft segment in the thermoplastic polyester elastomer in the adhesive layer with respect to a content ratio of a soft segment in the thermoplastic polyester elastomer in the barrier layer, is 5 or less.
LAMINATE FILM FOR PROTECTION DEVICE
A laminate film for a vehicle occupant protection device has at least one copolyester barrier layer and at least one copolyester adhesive layer connected to the at least one barrier layer.
AIRBAG WITH SACRIFICIAL ELASTOMER LINE
An airbag comprises: first and second fabric panels; a seam at a seam area of the first and second fabric panels, the seam joining the first and second fabric panels to each other; and a sacrificial elastomer line at a location inward of the seam area, the sacrificial elastomer line joining the first and second fabric panels to each other at the location.
SEATBELT ASSEMBLY
A seatbelt assembly includes a retractor and an inflatable webbing. The inflatable webbing is supported by the retractor and elongated along an axis, the inflatable webbing having longitudinal threads extending along the axis and lateral threads interwoven with the longitudinal threads, the lateral threads extending transverse to the axis and being more stretchable than the longitudinal threads.
AIRBAG FOR HEAD PROTECTION
An airbag includes a bag body and an inlet port section of inflation gas. As a gas receivable region, the bag body includes a front main inflatable region, a rear main inflatable region, a feed path that feeds the inflation gas from the inlet port section to the front and rear main inflatable regions, and a sub inflatable region that absorbs the gas from the front main inflatable region when a pressure of the front main inflatable region soars. A front partitioning region partitions the front main inflatable region from the sub inflatable region. The front partitioning region is disposed in front of a front end of an upper partitioning region in an island-like fashion remote from other uninflatable region so as to provide, at the rear of and there beneath, one each communication passage that provides gas communication between the front main inflatable region and the sub inflatable region.
Gas bag arrangement and method for manufacturing a gas bag arrangement
A gas bag arrangement with a gas bag and a filling mechanism arranged in an opening of the gas bag for filling the gas bag with gas is provided. It is provided that the filling mechanism is elastically held in the opening by a holding mechanism arranged in the region of the opening, wherein the holding mechanism has elastic properties due to which it exerts holding forces on the filling mechanism.
Overhead airbag assemblies
Airbag assemblies including a housing assembly to be mounted above a vehicle occupant position, an inflator, and an inflatable cushion are provided. The inflatable cushion can include first and second lateral chambers and a frontal chamber disposed between the first and second lateral chambers. Airbag assemblies including a first inflatable cushion that is configured to deploy at a first lateral side and forward of a vehicle occupant position and a second inflatable cushion that is configured to deploy at a second lateral side and forward of the vehicle occupant position are also provided.
Webbing device
In a seatbelt device, at a time of an emergency of a vehicle, gas is supplied into a tube, and gas within the tube is supplied into a chest bag of a bag, and the chest bag is inflated and expanded. Here, at a time when gas is supplied into the tube, due to the tube being inflated between a webbing and a lower side peripheral surface of an insert-through hole of a tongue, a transverse direction other side portion of the bag is crushed by the tube, and gas that is within the chest bag passing via the transverse direction other side portion of the bag into a waist bag of the bag is limited. Therefore, the chest bag can be inflated and expanded at an early stage.
