A method for controlling an autonomous vehicle is disclosed. The vehicle control method, which adjusts a seat installed in a vehicle, a first display positioned in front of the seat and facing the seat, and a second display positioned in front of the first display and facing the seat, includes: detecting the face of a passenger sitting in the seat by a camera installed in the vehicle; estimating the face height from the floor surface of the vehicle; if the estimated face height is lower than a predetermined level, setting a display region on the first display, and, if the estimated face height is higher than the predetermined level, setting the display region on at least part of the second display; and displaying images in the set display region. One or more among an autonomous vehicle, user terminal, and server according to the present invention may be associated with an artificial intelligence module, a robot, an augmented reality (AR) device, a virtual reality (VR) device, etc.

Vehicle seat armrest with translatable and pivotable bar

An assembly includes a seat. The assembly includes an armrest adjacent the seat with the armrest being elongated along an axis. The assembly includes a bar supported by the armrest. The bar is translatable along the axis from a stowed position overlapping the armrest to a deployed position extended from the armrest. The bar is pivotable relative to the armrest in a seat-inboard direction from a non-pivoted position to a pivoted position. The assembly includes an airbag supported the bar. The airbag is inflatable from the bar to an inflated position when the bar is in the deployed position and the pivoted position.

A capacitive detection device includes a capacitive sensor having a sense electrode and an auxiliary electrode that are arrangeable in the vicinity of an electric heater member for mutual capacitive coupling. The capacitive detection device has a signal voltage source providing an alternating measurement voltage, a complex impedance measurement circuit for measuring complex sense currents and for determining a complex impedance based on the measured complex sense current, and for electrically connecting the auxiliary electrode either with the reference voltage or with the guard signal. The method includes providing the measurement signal to the sense electrode and electrically connect the auxiliary electrode selectively either to the reference voltage or to the guard voltage; determining capacitance values in the two different connection states of the auxiliary electrode; and calculating a compensated capacitance value as a weighted sum of the two determined capacitance values, wherein the weighting factors are predefined constant values.

CAMERA-BASED IN-CABIN OBJECT LOCALIZATION

Performing object localization inside a cabin of a vehicle is provided. A camera image is received of a cabin of a vehicle by an image sensor at a first location with respect to a plurality of seating zones of a vehicle. Object detection on the camera image is performed to identify one or more objects in the camera image. A machine-learning model trained on images taken at the first location is utilized to place the one or more objects into the seating zones of the vehicle according to a plurality of bounding boxes corresponding to the plurality of seating zones for the first location.
