A safety system for a vehicle includes a camera and a central control device. The camera is configured to obtain a first image. When the central control device determines that the vehicle is in a straight-moving state, the central control device determines whether a target object is in a first range on a side of the vehicle according to the first image. When the central control device determines that the vehicle is in a turning state, the central control device determines whether the target object is in a second range on the side of the vehicle according to the first image, wherein the second range is larger than the first range.
Vehicular driver assistance system with construction zone recognition
A vehicular driver assistance system includes a camera that views through the windshield of the vehicle and a control device having an image processor that processes captured image data. Responsive to processing of captured image data by the image processor, the system adjusts a light beam emitted by a headlamp of the vehicle. The control device, responsive at least in part to image data processing by the image processor, determines when the vehicle is at a construction zone. Responsive to determination that the vehicle is at a construction zone, image processing of image data captured by the camera is adjusted to discriminate construction zone signs from taillights of leading vehicles. Responsive to determination of the vehicle exiting the construction zone, the control device adjusts the light beam emitted by the headlamp of the vehicle responsive to determination of headlamps of approaching vehicles and taillights of leading vehicles.
Surrounding vehicle display method and surrounding vehicle display device
A surrounding vehicle display device includes: a surrounding information detection device that obtains information on surroundings of a host vehicle; and a vehicle speed sensor that detects a vehicle speed of the host vehicle. The surrounding vehicle display device includes a controller that uses the information obtained by the surrounding information detection device to generate a virtual image that indicates the surroundings of the host vehicle as being viewed from above the host vehicle and a display displays the virtual image. The controller makes a display region of at least a rear region around the host vehicle on the virtual image wide when the vehicle speed detected by the vehicle speed sensor is higher than a low vehicle speed.

Vehicular trailer guidance system
A vehicular trailer guidance system includes an electronic control unit (ECU), a plurality of vehicle cameras and at least one trailer camera including a rear trailer camera disposed at a rear portion of a trailer hitched to the vehicle. A display screen is disposed in the vehicle and viewable by a driver of the vehicle. The display screen displays video images derived from captured image data, with the displayed video images including bird's-eye view images of a region at least partially surrounding the vehicle and trailer including an area rearward of the trailer hitched to the vehicle. During a reversing maneuver, and via processing of captured image data, an instruction for maneuvering the vehicle and trailer in reverse toward a target location is generated by the ECU. The generated instruction includes at least an instruction pertaining to steering of the vehicle during the reversing maneuver.

A vehicular control system includes a forward viewing camera disposed at an in-cabin side of a windshield of a vehicle and viewing forward of the vehicle. Road curvature of a road along which the vehicle is traveling is determined responsive at least in part to processing by an image processor of image data captured by the camera. Responsive at least in part to processing of captured image data, a traffic lane of the road along which the vehicle is traveling is determined. Upon approach of the vehicle to a curve in the road, speed of the vehicle is reduced to a reduced speed for traveling around the curve in the road at least in part responsive to at least one selected from the group consisting of (a) processing of image data captured by the forward viewing camera and (b) data relevant to a current geographical location of the equipped vehicle.

A method for a sensor-based and memory-based representation of a surroundings of a vehicle. The vehicle includes an imaging sensor for detecting the surroundings. The method includes: detecting a sequence of images; determining distance data on the basis of the detected images and/or of a distance sensor of the vehicle, the distance data comprising distances between the vehicle and objects in the surroundings of the vehicle; generating a three-dimensional structure of a surroundings model on the basis of the distance data; recognizing at least one object in the surroundings of the vehicle on the basis of the detected images, in particular by a neural network; loading a synthetic object model on the basis of the recognized object; adapting the generated three-dimensional structure of the surroundings model on the basis of the synthetic object model and on the basis of the distance data; and displaying the adapted surroundings model.
VEHICULAR VISION SYSTEM WITH CONSTRUCTION ZONE RECOGNITION
A vehicular vision system includes an image processor and a camera that views through the windshield of the vehicle. The camera captures image data as the vehicle travels along a road, and the image processor processes image data captured by the camera. The vehicular vision system, responsive at least in part to processing by the image processor of image data captured by the camera, determines when the vehicle is at a construction zone. Responsive to determining that the vehicle is at the construction zone, the vehicular vision system adjusts a vehicular driver assistance system of the vehicle. The vehicular vision system determines that the vehicle exits the construction zone based at least in part on processing by the image processor of image data captured by the camera.
