20230034203 · 2023-02-02 ·

The present invention relates generally to the field of vehicle key fobs. More specifically, the present invention relates to a vehicle key fob device comprised of a vehicle key fob that has a housing, a flashlight, a biometric scanner, a plurality of LED-illuminated buttons/emblems and a button that allows the color of the LED-illuminated buttons to change. The fob may have a plurality of buttons in differing embodiments, which are preferably illuminated via at least one LED that is positioned below each button. However, in one embodiment a singular large LED may sit below all buttons to illuminate the buttons simultaneously. The at least one LED can also produce any color known in the art, which can be changed by a user by pressing a color change button located on the side surface of the fob.

Detection device

A detection device includes at least one detection module communicatively coupled with a communication device. The detection module includes a controller circuit communicatively coupled with a first antenna. The first antenna receives first electromagnetic signals from a first plurality of antennae located within an interior of a first vehicle. The first antenna receives second electromagnetic signals from a second plurality of antennae located and within an interior of a second vehicle. The controller circuit determines a position of the communication device within the interior of the first vehicle relative to locations of the first plurality of antennae based on the first electromagnetic signals received by the first antenna. The controller circuit determines a position of the communication device within the interior of the second vehicle relative to locations of the second plurality of antennae based on the second electromagnetic signals received by the first antenna.

Controlling a Motor Vehicle Using a Vehicle-External Mobile Terminal
20230069605 · 2023-03-02 ·

A motor vehicle is controlled using a vehicle-external mobile terminal. A communication connection is established using a first transmission/reception device of the motor vehicle and second transmission/reception device of the mobile terminal. A distance and/or relative position of the mobile terminal in relation to the motor vehicle is ascertained by evaluating a radio signal transmitted via the communication connection. Clearance data is generated using a control circuit of the motor vehicle or of the mobile terminal based on the ascertained distance and/or the ascertained relative position. The clearance data indicates that a predetermined control command can be transmitted from the mobile terminal to the motor vehicle and/or is accepted from the mobile terminal by the motor vehicle. The predetermined control command is transmitted using the communication connection when the clearance data are available in the mobile terminal and a predetermined trigger condition for the respective control command is satisfied.

AUGMENTED REALITY DISPLAYED KEYPAD FOR AUTHENTICATED KEYLESS DOOR ACCESS

In some implementations, a device may receive an indication of a code associated with granting authenticated access to a door. The device may transmit, to a user device, presentation information to cause an augmented reality image of an input pad to be displayed by the user device, wherein the augmented reality image is displayed over an area of an image of an exterior of the door via a user interface. The device may detect, via a camera device, one or more user inputs to the area of the exterior of the vehicle based on tracking a movement of a user. The device may identify an input code based on the one or more user inputs. The device may perform an action to cause the door to be unlocked based on the input code matching the code.

INFORMATION PROCESSING DEVICE, INFORMATION PROCESSING DEVICE-EQUIPPED VEHICLE, INFORMATION PROCESSING METHOD, AND RECORDING MEDIUM RECORDED WITH PROGRAM

An information processing device including a reception section 130 configured to receive user operation for disabling a vehicle control function by a first key configured to be used to control a vehicle, a confirmation section 132 configured to check whether a prescribed communication can be performed with a second key that is a key configured to be used to control the vehicle and that is different from the first key, and a processing section 134 configured to perform processing to suppress disabling of the vehicle control function by the first key according to the user operation in cases in which the prescribed communication with the second key has not been confirmed by the confirmation section.

Activating Vehicle Components Based On Intent Of Individual Near Vehicle

This disclosure is generally directed to systems and methods for eliminating false activation of components of a vehicle when the vehicle is parked in a garage. Example components can be a door lock, a door latch, a door activation servomotor, or a light. In an example method, a vehicle entry authorization system of a vehicle operates a sensor system to obtain dimensional information of an interior portion of the garage. The vehicle entry authorization system may then detect a presence of a mobile device (such as a smartphone, smart device, or a vehicle key fob) and determines the location of the mobile device based on the dimensional information. If the mobile device is located outside the garage, the vehicle entry authorization system refrains from activating a component of the vehicle. However, if the mobile device is located inside the garage, the vehicle entry authorization system activates the component.

SYSTEM AND METHOD USING WIRELESS LATCHING RELAY FOR VEHICLE FLEET MANGEMENT INVENTORY

A system and method for system for controlling power supplied to electronic components (12) powered by a battery (11) of a vehicle (10), the system comprising: a vehicle control unit (14) including a controller (16) and a transmitter (18) for transmitting wirelessly vehicle control signals (20); a wireless latching relay (22) including a receiver (24) configured for receiving the vehicle control signals (20) from the transmitter (18), and a latching relay (26); wherein the relay (26) is connected in series with the negative terminal (25) or positive terminal (29) of the battery (11).

Vehicle control system and mobile device used as vehicle key fob

An apparatus includes a vehicle control system (VCS) coupled to a computer of a vehicle via a CAN bus and configured to present selectively appearance of a presence in the vehicle of a smartkey, e.g., by energizing and de-energizing an actual smartkey of the vehicle. The VCS includes a VCS and a Bluetooth® VCS transceiver. The VCS stores VCS software. The apparatus also includes a smartphone with a Bluetooth® transceiver, and storing an app. The mobile device is paired with the VCS to communicate with the VCS via a Bluetooth® link. The app configures the smartphone to receive menu selections from a user, to generate communications that identity smartkey-enabled features of the VCS that correspond to the selections, and to send to the VCS the communications through the link. The VCS software configures the VCS to receive the communications and cause the vehicle to perform actions corresponding to live communications.
