Apparatus and method for controlling wiper of vehicle

A vehicle wiper control apparatus monitors whether warpage occurs in a wiper strip made of a rubber-elastic material that is provided in a wiper blade. When a wiper of a vehicle is turned off and the warpage occurs in the wiper strip, the control apparatus controls the wiper mechanism to move the wiper blade to a parking position thereby preventing deformation of the wiper strip and maintaining the performance thereof.

WIPER CONTROL METHOD AND WIPER CONTROL DEVICE

A wiper control method and a wiper control device are provided. An arm falling position for stopping wiper arms for a predetermined time is set above a lower reversal position. When the wiper arms stopped on the side of an upper reversal position with respect to the arm falling position, such as a service position, are moved to a storage position set below the lower reversal position, or when a wiping operation is to be performed again, the wiper arms are temporarily stopped for the predetermined time at the arm falling position. Then, after the predetermined time elapses, the wiper arms are moved to the storage position in the case of a storage operation, and moved to the upper reversal position in the case of restarting, and then the normal wiping operation is performed.

Wiper drive device

A wiper drive device includes: a drive member that is configured to cause a wiper blade to wipe a region of a windshield as a wiping operation, the region of the windshield including a to-be-imaged region of the windshield, the to-be-imaged region being included in a field of view of a camera which images a predefined imaging range near a vehicle through the windshield; and a stop section that is configured to stop the wiper blade in an outside region in response to that an anomaly that hinders the wiping operation occurs while the drive member causes the wiper blade to perform the wiping operation on the windshield, the outside region being a region of the windshield outside of the to-be-imaged region.

A wiper arrangement for a vehicle is configured for cleaning a sensor field of vision of a windshield and thereby has a wiping element and a carrier. The carrier can be fastened on the windshield. The wiping element is movably mounted on the carrier. The carrier, the wiping element and/or mounting elements acting between the carrier and the wiping element is/are configured so that the wiping element can assume at least one fixed holding position -relative to the carrier, and wherein the wiping element can be brought out of the fixed holding position at least by overcoming a defined holding force. Furthermore, the mounting of the wiping element on the carrier is selected such that the wiping element is always driven to assume at least one specific, preferably a first holding position or second specific holding position with respect to the carrier.

SMART WIPER SYSTEM

A windshield wiper system includes a wiper arm, a wiper blade attached to the wiper arm, an output shaft attached to an end of the wiper arm, an actuator attached to the output shaft, a controller, a first sensor, a second sensor, and a third sensor. The controller is configured to activate the actuator, causing the output shaft to rotate and thus driving the wiper arm with the attached wiper blade in a sweeping motion across a windshield. The controller is also configured to receive signals from the first, second, and third sensors indicating the position of the wiper arm and the wiper blade.

WIPER LINKAGE SYSTEM

A wiper linkage system directly transmits rotating force of a motor to one wiper arm. The wiper linkage system includes: a gear housing installed on a wiper motor, a pipe rod installed on the gear housing, a crank arm installed on an output shaft of the wiper motor, a first wiper arm installed on a first end of the crank arm by a rotating shaft, a pivot housing assembled with the pipe rod, and a second wiper arm operated by a link structure including a link unit coupled to a second end of the crank arm and the pivot housing. In particular, a first end of the pipe rod is fixed to a vehicle body by a pipe mounting.
