An automated grommet installer and methods of installing a grommet. The installer and methods are capable of seating a grommet in an aperture of a window and facilitating correct alignment of the grommet within the window. Grommets are used to support and seal around a window wiper attached to a window. Typically, grommets are asymmetrical to match the curvature of the window. Embodiments of the described installer maintain grommet orientation while inserting the grommet in the window, quickly and efficiently installing the grommet. In embodiments the installer includes a system for identifying an incorrectly loaded grommet prior to installation and alerting an operator. In other embodiments, the installer includes a positioner that positions the grommet proximate to the window for installation and a gripper having one or more fingers reach through the window aperture, engage the grommet, and draw it into position, seated in the window.

The subject-matter of the invention is a water draining cover (1) for an automotive windshield wiping mechanism, containing a positive connection element (4) of the cover, adapted for securing on the body (2) of the shaft (11), containing an opening on the shaft (5) and surrounded by a gutter part (6) containing a drainage opening (7), characterized in that the positive connection element of the cover (4) does not have a continuous rotary symmetry with regard to the X axis, and in each transverse section in the plane perpendicular to the X axis it has the shape of a convex figure, and furthermore the positive connection element of the body (3) has means of blocking the movement of the cover (1) in a direction parallel to the X axis when the cover (1) is mounted on the body (2), preferably in the form of at least one projection and/or recess (9), preferably perpendicular to the X axis, while the X axis is defined as a straight line passing through the opening on the shaft (5), coinciding with the axis of rotation of the shaft (11) when the cover (1) is properly mounted on the body (2). The subject-matter of the invention is also the body (2) of a shaft (11) corresponding to the cover of the invention, as well as an automotive windshield wiper mechanism containing the cover (1) and the body (2).

The projection opposes the mounting leg in a circumferential direction without engaging the mounting leg in the axial direction.

The wiper-integrated tailgate handle switch includes a tailgate handle switch, which is configured to press a current carrying switch arranged in the internal space thereof using the height of an insertion space defined by a difference in height between transverse and longitudinal bodies of a handle switch housing, and a wiper. Therefore, a degree of freedom in design of the tailgate is increased which improves the aesthetic of the tailgate by removing the tailgate handle switch from the tailgate.

A seal assembly (100) is provided, which is used to seal the connection region between a glass (103) and a shaft assembly (108) passing through the glass (103). The shaft assembly (108) may comprise a shaft (113) and a threaded bushing (114) around the shaft (113). The seal assembly (100) may comprise an outer seal (101), which has a body portion (115) supported on the glass (103), and further comprises at least one sealing portion (116) to form at least one sealing area (119, 121); and the seal assembly (100) further comprises an inner rotatable seal (106), which has a body portion (122) with a thread (128) for engaging a thread (110) of the bushing (114), and which further comprises at least one second sealing portion (123) to form at least one sealing area (124). Therein, the body portion (115) of the outer seal (101) and the body portion (122) of the inner rotatable seal (106) have corresponding threads (102, 107) for engaging the outer seal (101) with the inner rotatable seal (106). The assembly (100) can prevent the water leakage at the connection region between the wiper and the vehicle body effectively. The assembly (100) is easy and convenient to be installed, with high reliability, and has an advantage in appearance.
