DRIVING SUPPORT APPARATUS
A driving support apparatus for an own vehicle includes a lane keeping assist control unit. When an interrupting vehicle enters ahead of the own vehicle in (i) a situation in which no preceding vehicle is present ahead of the own vehicle, or (ii) a situation in which a preceding vehicle is present ahead of the own vehicle, while a deviation angle formed between a direction of a traveling trajectory of the interrupting vehicle and a traveling direction of the own vehicle is larger than a threshold, the lane keeping assist control unit is configured not to perform a lane keeping assist control based on the traveling trajectory of the interrupting vehicle, and is configured to discard the traveling trajectory of the interrupting vehicle. On and after the deviation angle becomes equal to or smaller than the threshold, the lane keeping assist control unit is configured to perform the lane keeping assist control based on the traveling trajectory of the interrupting vehicle.
VEHICULAR VISION SYSTEM USING SIDE-VIEWING CAMERA
A vehicular vision system includes a side-viewing camera mounted within an exterior rearview mirror assembly attached at a side of a vehicle equipped with the vehicular vision system. The side-viewing camera has a field of view at least sideward of the side of the equipped vehicle at which the exterior rearview mirror assembly is attached. The side-viewing camera captures an image of a scene occurring exterior of the equipped vehicle. The captured image includes an image data set representative of the exterior scene. A control includes an image processor, and the image data set is provided to the control. The control processes a reduced image data set of the image data set provided to the control to detect edges present exterior of the equipped vehicle within an area of interest of the scene occurring exterior of the equipped vehicle that is within the field of view of the side-viewing camera.

Method and device for estimating an inherent movement of a vehicle
A method for estimating an inherent movement of a vehicle. The method includes a step of classifying, a step of detecting, and a step of ascertaining. In the step of classifying, at least one portion of a camera image representing a classified object is classified into an object category which represents stationary objects. In the step of detecting, at least one detection point of the portion in the camera image classified into the object category is detected in the camera image by utilizing a detection algorithm. In the step of ascertaining, an estimated inherent movement of the vehicle is ascertained by utilizing the detection point.
Vehicular driving assist system using forward-viewing camera
A vehicular driving assist system includes a forward-viewing camera and a side object detection system disposed at a vehicle equipped with the vehicular driving assist system. The side object detection system includes a driver side-sensing radar sensor and a passenger side-sensing radar sensor. Image data captured by the forward-viewing camera is processed to detect traffic lane markers for a lane departure warning system of the equipped vehicle. Responsive at least in part to one of the radar sensors detecting a vehicle travelling in the same direction as the equipped vehicle and approaching from rearward of the equipped vehicle in a traffic lane that is to the respective side of the traffic lane that the equipped vehicle is travelling in, the vehicular driving assist system alerts a driver of the equipped vehicle of presence of the detected vehicle regardless of turn signal usage by the driver of the equipped vehicle.
Method for actuating a hydraulic brake system in a motor vehicle
A method for actuating a hydraulic brake system in a motor vehicle, in which a hydraulic brake pressure is generated specific to the wheel, data of a driving environment sensor system being taken into account for detecting the instantaneous lateral distance of the motor vehicle from the desired track.
Method, apparatus, storage medium and program product for side vehicle positioning
A method and apparatus for side vehicle positioning are provided for positioning a side vehicle accurately. The method includes: converting an original image into an corrected image, the original image being an image shot by an image acquisition device, the corrected image being an image corresponding to the original image under an angle of view of a virtual camera; detecting a wheel feature in a detection region of the corrected image, and acquiring a position of a subimage including the wheel feature in the corrected image; detecting a circle feature in the subimage including the wheel feature, and acquiring a circle detection result, the circle detection result including a position of a circle center of the circle feature in the corrected image and a radius of the circle feature; and acquiring side vehicle positioning information according to the circle detection result.
Vehicular lane change system
A vehicular lane change system includes a forward-viewing camera that has a field of view through the vehicle windshield that encompasses a road being traveled along by the vehicle. Responsive at least in part to processing of image data captured by the camera, a control determines the lane traveled by the vehicle. The control is operable to detect a lane change maneuver of the vehicle to a lane immediately adjacent to the lane traveled by the vehicle. Detection of the lane change maneuver is based at least in part on vehicle steering data and/or image processing of captured image data. Responsive to the control detecting the lane change maneuver of the vehicle when the driver of the vehicle has neglected to turn on an appropriate turn signal indicator of the vehicle, the control automatically turns on the turn signal indicator at the appropriate side of the vehicle.
Systems and methods of an overtaking lane control
An overtaking lane control system in a vehicle comprises a lane determination unit to recognize road configuration; an obstacle monitoring unit to detect approaching vehicles in adjacent lanes; and an overtaking lane control unit to issue a first alert to a driver to warn the driver to return to a normal lane when the overtaking lane control unit determines that the vehicle has traveled in an overtaking lane for a first predetermined time and it is safe to change to the normal lane.
