Disclosed is a vehicle control method which comprises the steps of: determining whether or not a squat of a rear end of a vehicle body is equal to or greater than a given level; determining whether or not turning manipulation of a steering device has been made; and, when the turning manipulation of the steering device is determined to have been made, controlling each part of an engine (4) to reduce an output torque of the engine (4), wherein, in response to the determination that the turning manipulation of the steering device has been made, a reduction amount of the output torque of the engine is increased when the squat of the rear end of the vehicle body is equal to or greater than the given level, as compared to when the squat is less than the given level.

A vehicle includes an electric machine, friction brakes, and a controller. The electric machine is configured to recharge a battery during regenerative braking. The friction brakes are configured to apply torque to wheels of the vehicle to decelerate the vehicle. The controller is programmed to, responsive to an anti-lock braking event, adjust a regenerative braking torque of the electric machine based on a difference between a desired wheel slip ratio and an actual wheel slip ratio.

There is provided a dump truck that, when drive wheels (6) slip, is capable of reducing braking torques for the drive wheels (6) to avoid locking of the drive wheels (6), and of generating braking torques for driven wheels (7) to ensure an overall braking torque for the vehicle. The dump truck includes a controller (13) outputting a regenerative torque command value corresponding to an operation amount of a brake pedal (8) to an inverter (11), causing the inverter to regeneratively control electric motors (10), a hydraulic valve (15) for generating a hydraulic pressure corresponding to an operation amount of a brake pedal (9), rear wheel brakes (16) actuated by the hydraulic pressure from the hydraulic valve (15), a higher-pressure selecting valve (19) for selecting a higher one of the hydraulic pressure from the hydraulic valve (15) and a hydraulic pressure from a solenoid proportional valve (18), and front wheel brakes (17) actuated by the hydraulic pressure selected by the higher-pressure selecting valve (19). The controller (13) reduces the regenerative torque command value and output a drive command value corresponding to the reduction amount of the regenerative torque command value to the solenoid proportional valve (18), when the controller (13) determines that slip ratios of the rear wheels (6) are equal to or larger than a predetermined value.

A method for controlling a regenerative brake system for a vehicle may include: generating a target pressure of each wheel of the vehicle, when any one performance condition of ABS-associated control, VDC-associated control, and TCS-associated control is satisfied; determining whether to enter the ABS-associated control; opening an entrance-side wheel of a target wheel such that a raised/lowered pressure for the target wheel is formed, when determining to perform the VDC-associated control or TCS-associated control; and performing pressure raising/lowering control for the target wheel by controlling a motor such that a wheel pressure of the target wheel follows the target pressure of the target wheel.

Brake controller

The brake controller includes a friction brake device, a regeneration brake device, a required braking force calculating portion, a vehicle motion control portion which distributes the required braking force to the non-regeneration braking side right/left wheels that is either one of the right/left front wheels and right/left rear wheels, a maximum braking force calculating portion which calculates the maximum braking force at each wheel and a braking force control portion-which calculates the regeneration braking force generated at the regeneration braking side right/left wheels within a range where the regeneration braking force to be generated at the regeneration braking side right/left wheels does not exceed a smaller value of the maximum braking forces of the regeneration braking side right/left wheels, based on the required braking force and the distribution of the braking force to the non-regeneration braking side right/left wheels.

Dump truck

A dump truck reduces drive wheel braking torques to avoid locking drive wheels during slipping and generates braking torques for driven wheels to ensure an overall braking torque using a controller that outputs a regenerative torque command value, corresponding to a brake pedal operation amount, to an inverter that regeneratively controls electric motors. The controller reduces the regenerative torque command value and outputs a drive command value, corresponding to a regenerative torque command value reduction amount, to a solenoid proportional valve, when the controller determines that slip ratios of rear wheels equal or exceed a predetermined value. A hydraulic pressure generated by a hydraulic valve based on the brake pedal operation amount actuates rear wheel brakes. A hydraulic pressure selected by a higher-pressure selecting valve that selects the higher of the hydraulic pressure from the hydraulic valve and the hydraulic pressure from the solenoid proportional valve actuates front wheel brakes.
