Axle range shift-assist for auxiliary braking
A vehicle driveline including a first axle assembly having a first drive ratio. A second axle assembly in selective driving engagement with the first axle assembly, the first and second axle assemblies having a second drive ratio when in driving engagement. A control system in electrical communication with the first and second axle assemblies, wherein the control system selectively engages the second axle assembly with the first axle assembly.
ENGINE BRAKE RAMPING
Systems and methods for controlling engine brake disengagement in a vehicle include a controller receiving a signal indicative of a command to disengage an engine brake while the vehicle engine is in engine brake engaged condition. The engine can be subjected to a first negative torque under the engine brake engaged condition. The controller can cause the engine brake to be gradually disengaged over a time period using a predefined torque ramp rate, responsive to the signal. The gradual disengagement of the engine brake can be in the form of a phased out disengagement, and can reduce vehicle engine jerk associated with engine brake disengagement.

Power control system with clutch braking function
A control system for operating a work vehicle powertrain includes an engine configured to generate power for an output shaft. The control system includes a transmission positioned operatively between the engine and the output shaft and configured to selectively transfer the power along a power flow path between the engine and the output shaft. The transmission includes an input shaft; at least one intermediate shaft; at least one directional clutch; and intermediate clutches configured for selective engagement to transfer power between the at least one intermediate shaft and the output shaft. A controller is configured to receive a vehicle stop request to stop the work vehicle; implement, upon receiving the vehicle stop request, a clutch braking function; and generate, upon the implementation of the clutch braking function, clutch commands to engage at least two of the intermediate clutches selected such that the output shaft is slowed and stopped.

Methods and systems for engine braking with reduced noise, vibration, and harshness
Methods and systems are provided for engine braking in a vehicle. In one example, a method may include, in response to an engine braking request: deactivating fueling to at least one engine cylinder, decreasing an effective flow area of a turbine inlet of a variable geometry turbocharger (VGT), and adjusting an intake valve of the at least one engine cylinder based on a requested braking torque of the engine braking request and the effective flow area of the turbine inlet. In this way, increased exhaust backpressure may be generated to increase engine pumping losses while the intake valve adjustment increases in-cylinder pumping losses, thereby increasing an amount of engine braking torque.

System for Sensing a Position of a First Member Relative to a Second Member Based on a Radio Frequency Characteristic of a Bias Member
A system for sensing a position of a first member relative to a second member based on a radio frequency characteristic of a bias member is disclosed. The bias member may be configured to bias the second member relative to the first member. Radio frequency circuitry may be configured to apply a radio frequency signal to the bias member and provide one or more signals indicative of a position of the first member relative to the second member based on a radio frequency characteristic of the bias member.
