Various embodiments provide systems and methods for identifying impairment using measurement devices.

Movable carrier auxiliary system

A movable carrier auxiliary system includes a driver state detecting device and a warning device. The driver state detecting device includes a physiological state detecting module, a storage module, and an operation module. The physiological state detecting module is adapted to detect a physiological state of a driver. The storage module is disposed in a movable carrier and stores an allowable parameter corresponding to the at least one physiological state. The operation module is disposed in the movable carrier and is electrically connected to the physiological state detecting module and the storage module to detect whether the at least one physiological state of the driver exceeds the allowable parameter or not, and to correspondingly generate a detection signal. The warning device generate a warning message when the detection signal that the at least one physiological state of the driver exceeds the allowable parameter is received.

INTERLOCK CONTROL SYSTEM LINKED TO DIGITAL KEY AND INTERLOCK CONTROL METHOD FOR THE SAME

An interlock control system linked to a digital key includes an alcohol interlock controller, which calculates a decomposition time period required to decompose blood alcohol of each driver using personal information of the driver, extracted by authenticating a digital key, when a blood alcohol concentration measured by an alcohol measuring sensor exceeds a reference value. The alcohol interlock controller then restricts ignition of a vehicle using the digital key for the decomposition time period. By calculating and providing the decomposition time period for restricting the ignition of the vehicle, based on the personal information and an actual alcohol clearance of the driver, predicted information on a time point for allowing the driver to drive the vehicle is provided to the driver. An interlock control method for the same is also provided.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR DETERMINING DRIVER'S INEBRIATION

Disclosed is a system and method for determining a driver's inebriation in a vehicle. The system includes a breathalyzer configured to be provided in an interior space of the vehicle to determine whether the driver is inebriated, through a driver's exhalation; and a controller configured to output a movement request signal for a driver's seat when determination of driver's inebriation by the breathalyzer is required and to control the breathalyzer to start the determination of driver's inebriation when the movement of the driver's seat is completed.

Smart ring system for monitoring UVB exposure levels and using machine learning technique to predict high risk driving behavior

The described systems and methods determine a driver's fitness to safely operate a moving vehicle based at least in part upon observed UVB exposure patterns, where the driver's UVB exposure levels may serve as a proxy for vitamin D levels in that driver's body. A smart ring, wearable on a user's finger, continuously monitors user's exposure to UVB light. This UVB exposure data, representing UVB exposure patterns, can be utilized, in combination with driving data, to train a machine learning model, which will predict the user's level of risk exposure based at least in part upon observed UVB exposure patterns. The user can be warned of this risk to prevent them from driving or to encourage them to get more sunlight exposure before driving. In some instances, the disclosed smart ring system may interact with the user's vehicle to prevent it from starting while exposed to high risk due to deteriorated psychological or physiological conditions stemming from insufficient UVB exposure.

In some instances, the disclosed smart ring system may interact with the user's vehicle to prevent it from starting while the user is in a state of impairment induced by substance intoxication.

Driver screening using biometrics and artificial neural network analysis

A vehicle having one or more cameras, configured to record one or more images of a driver of the vehicle. The camera(s) can be configured to send biometric image data derived from the image(s). The vehicle can include a computing system configured to receive the biometric data and to determine a risk score of the driver based on the received biometric data and an AI technique, such as an ANN or a decision tree. The received biometric data or a derivative thereof can be input for the AI technique. The computing system can also be configured to transmit the risk score of the driver to the customer so that the customer can decide whether to book the vehicle for a ride.

VEHICLE DRIVER'S LICENSING SYSTEMS AND METHODS

A system includes: a first camera configured to capture first images of a driver on a driver's seat within a passenger cabin of a vehicle; a second camera configured to capture second images in front of the vehicle; a driver module configured to determine a driver of the vehicle based on at least one of the first images and to determine a present driver's licensing level of the driver with a driver's licensing body; a first detection module configured to detect first occurrences of first conditions within the passenger cabin of the vehicle based on the first images; a second detection module configured to detect second occurrences of second conditions outside of the vehicle; and a reporting module configured to, based on the present driver's licensing level of the driver, selectively generate a report including at least one of the first and second occurrences.
