Apparatus and method for detecting deviation vehicle
A vehicle includes: an input configured to receive a destination; a display; a driver assistance system configured to control a behavior of the vehicle based on surrounding environment information; and a controller configured to control the display to display a driving route. The controller may be configured to determine, when a distance between a branch point on the driving route and the vehicle reaches a first distance, a possibility that the vehicle deviates from the driving route based on GPS information, vehicle speed information, and the surrounding environment information, and search for, when the possibility is greater than or equal to a preset threshold, a deviation route for reaching the destination based on the deviated direction and control the display to display the deviation route until the distance between the branch point on the driving route and the vehicle reaches a second distance.
INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS, INFORMATION PROCESSING SYSTEM, INFORMATION PROCESSING METHOD, AND PROGRAM
To provide a technology that makes it possible to recognize a target object quickly and accurately. An information processing apparatus according to the present technology includes a controller. The controller recognizes a target object on the basis of event information that is detected by an event-based sensor, and transmits a result of the recognition to a sensor apparatus that includes a sensor section that is capable of acquiring information regarding the target object.
SYSTEM AND METHODS OF ADAPTIVE OBJECT-BASED DECISION MAKING FOR AUTONOMOUS DRIVING
A method may include obtaining input information relating to an environment in which an autonomous vehicle (AV) operates, the input information describing at least one of: a state of the AV, an operation of the AV within the environment, a property of the environment, or an object included in the environment. The method may include identifying a first object in the vicinity of the AV based on the obtained input information. The method may include determining a first object rule corresponding to the first object, the first object rule indicating suggested driving behavior for interacting with the first object. The method may include determining a first decision that follows the first object rule and sending an instruction to a control system of the AV, the instruction describing a given operation of the AV responsive to the first object rule according to the first decision.
Autonomous vehicle system configured to respond to temporary speed limit signs
Aspects of the disclosure provide for a method for identifying speed limit signs and controlling an autonomous vehicle in response to detected speed limit signs. The autonomous vehicle's computing devices identifies a speed limit sign in a vehicle's environment and a location and orientation corresponding to the speed limit sign. Then, the and orientation location of the speed limit sign is determined to not correspond to a pre-stored location and a pre-stored orientation of a speed limit sign that is pre-stored in map information. An effect zone of the speed limit sign is determined based on the location and orientation of the speed limit sign and characteristics of surrounding areas or other detected object before or after the speed limit sign. The autonomous vehicle's computing devices determines a response of the vehicle based on the determined effect zone, and controls the autonomous vehicle based on the determined response.
VEHICLE DRIVER ASSIST SYSTEM
A vehicle driver assist system includes an expert evaluation system to fuse information acquired from various data sources. The data sources can correspond to conditions associated with the vehicle as a unit as well as external elements. The expert evaluation system monitors and evaluates the information from the data sources according to a set of rules by converting each data value into a metric value, determining a weight for each metric, assigning the determined weight to the metric, and generating a weighted metric corresponding to each data value. The expert evaluation system compares each weighted metric (or a linear combination of metrics) against one or more thresholds. The results from the comparison provide an estimation of a likelihood of one or more traffic features occurring.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR ASSISTING A DRIVER IN DRIVING A VEHICLE AND VEHICLE ON WHICH SUCH SYSTEM IS MOUNTED
The invention regards a method and a system for assisting a driver in driving a vehicle, as well as a vehicle with such system being mounted thereon. Information on an environment of a vehicle is obtained by sensing the environment. Furthermore, information on applicable traffic rules is obtained. A request from a driver is determined from sensing at least one of a driver's utterance, gestures, gaze and operation of vehicle control. The traffic scene as sensed is assessed on the basis of the environmental information, the applicable traffic rules and the determined driver request. Information as requested to be output is generated in response to the determined request of the driver. Finally the information in response to the request from the driver is output.
METHOD FOR OPERATING A CONTROL DEVICE OF A MOTOR VEHICLE
A method for operating a control device of a motor vehicle driving by automation. The method includes determining a location of the motor vehicle, and acquiring driving-environment data of the motor vehicle, a control characteristic of the control device of the motor vehicle being formed in such a way that a driving behavior of at least one other road user is influenced in defined manner.
ALERT DETECTION SYSTEM
An alert detection system for a vehicle includes: a sensor unit; a controller; and an alert indication unit, the controller receiving at least one or more input signals from at least the sensor unit and determining one or more output indicators based on the at least one or more input signals, and the one or more output indicators including a first output indicator, a second output indicator, and a third output indicator which are Level 1 alert, Level 2 alert, and Level 3 alert, and the one or more output indicators being progressively actuated based on signal received from the at least one or more of input signals.
VEHICLE PREDICTIVE CONTROL METHOD WITH IMPROVED COMPUTATIONAL PROCESSING AND VEHICLE DRIVING CONTROL SYSTEM USING THE SAME
Disclosed herein is a vehicle predictive control method that includes determining a driving prediction horizon in front of a vehicle, dividing the driving prediction horizon into a plurality of steps, at least some of the steps corresponding to a sloped section being integrated into one step according to slopes, and applying a driving prediction model based on a relationship between states of vehicle speed, traction force, and braking force for each step and collectively computing the driving prediction model over the entire prediction horizon to calculate a control value for the vehicle.
ESTIMATION APPARATUS AND ESTIMATION METHOD
An estimation apparatus of the disclosure includes a determiner that determines whether or not an attention target is visually recognizable from a driver of a vehicle based on information related to a visual field range of the driver; and an estimator that estimates a visual field abnormality of the driver based on a driving operation of the driver in a case where the determiner determines that the attention target is visually recognizable from the driver.
