OPTIMIZED DRIVER SEAT AND PEDAL POSITIONING USING ULNA LENGTH

Systems, methods, and computer-readable media are disclosed for optimized driver seat and pedal positioning using ulna length. An example method may include determining, at a first time and using a sensor of a vehicle, an ulna length of a vehicle user. The example method may also include automatically adjusting a seating position of the vehicle user to a first seating position based on the ulna length of the vehicle user.

Method for Operating an Automated Motor Vehicle
20230024328 · 2023-01-26 ·

A method for operating an automated motor vehicle during automated driving includes determining the current motor vehicle route data, a current trajectory of the motor vehicle, and environment information. The method also includes ascertaining a driving maneuver that is to be expected, associating this driving maneuver with one of the at least two motoring comfort levels, and outputting advice to the occupants of the motor vehicle if the current motoring comfort level changes as a result. The method further includes automatically and actively taking measures relating to the interior to adjust the interior to suit the motoring comfort level that is to be expected.

Controlling vehicle components to adjust passenger compartment airflow

A system and method of controlling components of a vehicle are disclosed. The method includes the steps of sensing a current position of a rear closure panel with a closure panel position sensor, sensing a speed of the vehicle with a speed sensor, and sensing a current environmental condition with an environmental precipitation sensor. The method also includes adjusting a degree of openness of at least one window as a result of the closure panel position sensor indicating that the rear closure panel is in an open position, the speed sensor indicating that a speed of the vehicle is greater than zero kilometers per hour (kph), and the current environmental condition that is indicated by the environmental precipitation sensor.

When a manifold catalytic converter, which is a catalyst above an exhaust passage, is warmed, a control unit is configured to control the energization of an electric heater of the manifold catalytic converter, and/or the driving of an internal combustion engine in accordance with a battery SOC of a battery. This makes it possible in a hybrid vehicle to warm the manifold catalytic converter using an amount of electric power consumed by motoring of an electric motor, and generally to shorten a time taken to drive the internal combustion engine for catalyst warming.

Apparatus of controlling engine including electric supercharger based on driver's tendency, and method thereof

An apparatus of controlling an engine including an electric supercharger includes: an engine to combust fuel to generate power; a drive motor to assist the power of the engine and selectively operate as a generator to generate electrical energy; a battery configured to supply electrical energy to the drive motor and to be charged by the electrical energy generated from the drive motor; a plurality of electric superchargers respectively installed in a plurality of intake lines through which an ambient air flows to be supplied to a combustion chamber of the engine; and a controller that based on a determined driving tendency, adjusts a target speed of the electric superchargers of the plurality of electric superchargers, determine a driving mode of the electric superchargers, limits a maximum output of the engine, and variably adjusts a SOC electricity-generating region where the engine charges the battery.

An attachment is attached to an upper turning body. During a normal operation, a drive means drives the attachment according to an input of an operator to a manipulation device. A sensor detects a motion of an excavator. Based on an output of the sensor, the slip suppression unit detects slip of a traveling body in an extension direction of the attachment and corrects an operation of the attachment performed by the drive means.

Predicting terrain traversability for a vehicle

Embodiments of the present disclosure relate generally to generating and utilizing three-dimensional terrain maps for vehicular control. Other embodiments may be described and/or claimed.

Transport facilitation system for configuring a service vehicle for a user
11548457 · 2023-01-10 · ·

A transport facilitation system can receive a pick-up request from a computing device of a user of a transportation arrangement service, the pick-up request comprising a unique identifier and a pick-up location. Using the unique identifier, the system can perform a lookup in a database for a profile indicating vehicle setup preferences for the user, and select a service vehicle to service the pick-up request. The system can further determine a seat assignment within the service vehicle for the user, and based on the vehicle setup preferences indicated in the profile, the system transmit a set of configuration instructions to the service vehicle, the set of configuration instructions to configure one or more adjustable components of the service vehicle for the user.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR AUTOMATICALLY STOPPING AN AUTONOMOUS VEHICLE
