The flaps are adapted to rotate from a location at the sides of the basket to a location above the top of the basket at which the flaps are connected by zipper fasteners to one another to create a cover to close the top of the basket and form a table extending across the basket. A pull-out rack is carried by the wagon below the basket to be pulled outwardly from the back of the wagon at which to transport another article such as a cooler.

When an opening cord is pulling while the chip collecting box body is in an upwardly raised state, the bottom plates on opposite sides become unlocked and open toward the bottom such that machine tool chips stored in the chip collecting box are discharged downward. When a closing cord is pulling after the chips are discharged, the bottom plates on opposite sides are closed by the closing cord and become hooked on a hooking means.

Methods disclosed herein also may include applying a preloading force to the cart frame, to reduce tolerances between components of the storage cart once assembled. Kits are also provided herein containing the components required to assemble the cart on-site, in configurations that may be easily transported to and from the job site when disassembled. Kits also may provide for straightforward and secure assembly of the carts.
