ELECTRIC POWER STEERING DEVICE
A shortening of an initial diagnosis time is achieved, even after an elapse of a predetermined delay time from an ignition switch being switched to an off-state. After the ignition switch is switched to an off-state after an operation of a control device, which drives an electric motor that applies steering assistance force to a steering system, diagnosis of a power supply circuit that supplies power to the control device is carried out, and a diagnosis item to be implemented in a succeeding initial diagnosis is determined based on a result of the diagnosis.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING A VEHICLE
A vehicle is provided including an electronic power steering system, an electronic throttle control system, and a stability control system.
Detecting damage to components of an electric power steering system
An electric power steering system. The system includes a steering rack having a first end and a second end and at least one damper coupled to one of the first end and the second end. The system also includes an electronic controller configured to determine if the damper has been destroyed based upon a sensed steering angle being above a maximum steering angle threshold or based upon a received signal from an electrical circuit enclosed within the at least one damper.
SYSTEM SHARING BATTERY WITH EXTERNAL DEVICE
In a system that shares a battery with an external device, the system includes a power storage device connected to the battery via a power supply line. The system includes a switch provided on the power supply line, and a control unit. The control unit controls on-off switching operations of the switch to selectively establish an electrical conduction between the battery and the power storage device or interrupt the electrical conduction therebetween. The battery has a battery voltage thereacross, and the power storage device has a power-storage voltage thereacross. The battery charges the power storage device while the electrical conduction is established so that the power-storage voltage follows the battery voltage. The control unit turns off the switch when the battery voltage is in a predetermined insufficient voltage state to prevent electrical power charged in the power storage device from being discharged to the battery.
DETECTION DEVICE AND STEERING DEVICE
A detection device includes: a plurality of sensors configured to detect a value to be detected; and a processing section configured to process a detection signal output from each of the plurality of sensors. A periodicity with which one or some of the plurality of sensors output detection signals is shorter than a periodicity with which others of the plurality of sensors output detection signals.
STEERING CONTROL DEVICE AND STANDARD VALUE ADJUSTMENT METHOD
A steering control device includes a control unit. The control unit is configured to execute a control angle calculation process, an angle feedback process, and a standard value adjustment process. The control angle calculation process is a process of calculating a control angle as an absolute angle relative to a standard value, and the angle feedback process is a process of performing feedback control on the control angle, and the standard value adjustment process is a process of adjusting the stored standard value. The standard value adjustment process includes a process of, when, in a straight-ahead state, the control angle deviates from a value showing the straight-ahead state, adjusting the standard value such that the deviation of the control angle from the value showing the straight-ahead state decreases.
Rotary electric machine control device and electric power steering device using same
A rotary electric machine control device includes multiple drive circuits provided for respective winding sets in a rotary electric machine, and multiple control units. When combinations of the winding sets and configurations provided correspondingly to the respective winding sets are defined as systems, the control units are provided for the respective systems. Each of the control units controls energization of the winding set provided correspondingly, and monitors an abnormality of a monitoring target. Each of the control units performs an abnormality detection time backup control during a period from detection of the abnormality of the monitoring target to confirmation of the abnormality, and performs an abnormality confirmation time backup control when the abnormality is confirmed.
Method and steering control apparatus for determining a correcting variable for adjusting servo steering torque in a vehicle steering system
The invention relates to a method for adjusting a servo steering torque in a vehicle steering system, wherein the servo steering torque can be generated by an actuator of the vehicle steering system. The method comprises: receiving a driver's steering request, receiving a steering request from at least one driver assistance system, receiving at least one driving dynamics variable, determining a static state in which a change of the driver's steering request and the driving dynamics variable each is below a predetermined threshold, and if the static state has been determined, adjusting the servo steering torque by regulating, wherein a control variable for the regulation is determined based on a driver's steering request and the steering request by the driver assistance system.
STEERING SYSTEM
A steering system is configured such that electric power is supplied to a steering actuator and a turning actuator from a first power supply when a power state of a vehicle is an on state and supply of the electric power from the first power supply is cut off when the power state is an off state. The steering system includes a rotation curbing unit configured to operate such that rotation of the steering wheel is curbed in at least a part of a first power-off period from when the power state becomes an off state until when the power state becomes the on state next, as an operating period, and a second power supply configured to supply, to the rotation curbing unit, the electric power required for operation of the rotation curbing unit in the operating period, the second power supply being different from the first power supply.
VEHICLE SYSTEM
A vehicle system, including: a steering system; and a longitudinal-force application system including longitudinal-force application actuators configured to apply longitudinal forces respectively to one or more left-side wheels and one or more right-side wheels and a longitudinal-force controller configured to control the longitudinal-force application actuators to control the longitudinal forces applied respectively to the one or more left-side wheels and the one or more right-side wheels;, and an onboard power source device including a main power source and a secondary power source. When the main power source fails to supply electric power to the longitudinal-force application system and the steering system, the longitudinal-force controller controls the longitudinal-force application actuators to control a difference between the longitudinal force applied to the one or more left-side wheels and the longitudinal force applied to the one or more right-side wheels, thereby turning the vehicle.
