Amphibious vehicle mounted on caterpillar tracks

Vehicle comprising a hull and motorised aquatic propulsion members and motorised land propulsion members, this vehicle being able to move between a navigation position and a land transport position in which it rests on sets of caterpillar tracks. Each set of caterpillar tracks (1) is equipped with an even number of rollers (7) so as to define a set of adjacent roller pairs (71, 72). The rollers (71, 72) of each pair are connected to the chassis (2) by suspension means comprising a set (12) of at least two superposed curved elastic leaves made of a fibre-reinforced thermosetting resin, namely an upper leaf (131) and a lower leaf (132), the set being fixed on the one hand to the axles (9) of the rollers (71, 72) at its respective ends and, on the other hand, to the chassis (2) in its central part, and the upper leaf (13i) and the lower leaf (132) of each of the sets of leaves (12) are joined together and covered with a layer of elastomer (14).

Track link for ground-engaging track having rail protrusion for anti-scalloping

A ground-engaging track system includes a track having a first track chain and a second track chain, and an idler having pockets formed in an outer idler rim to receive inboard rail protrusions on track links in the first track chain and the second track chain. The inboard rail protrusions project from an inboard link side, and a central pad of an upper rail surface in the track link includes an anti-scalloping bump-out formed on the inboard rail protrusion.

Guide rail for crawler track

A crawler mechanism includes a frame, a track including a plurality of shoes coupled together and supported for movement relative to the frame along a direction of travel, a sprocket, and a guide rail. The frame includes a first end, a second end, a first side extending between the first end and the second end and proximate a support surface, and a second side. Each shoe includes an intermediate portion having a first hardness. The sprocket drives the plurality of shoes to move along the second side of the frame. The guide rail is coupled to the second side of the frame and includes a base having an outer surface and a coating bonded to the outer surface. The coating contacts the intermediate portion of the shoes as the shoes move along the second side of the frame, and the coating defines a second hardness less than the first hardness.

A machine track includes a track shoe having a first outboard edge and a second outboard edge, and a first set of pin lugs and a second set of pin lugs. A roller pad is positioned between the sets of pin lugs and includes a roller contact surface extending between a first roller pad end and a second roller pad end. The first roller pad end includes a relatively softer material, and the second roller pad end includes a relatively harder material that forms a trimming edge for trimming off interfering material of an adjacent track shoe in a machine track that is plastically deformed by way of roller contact with the adjacent track shoe during service.

A track link rail surface and roller interface includes a first roller including a cylindrical configuration defining a radial direction, a longitudinal axis, a circumferential direction, and a plane containing the radial direction and the longitudinal axis. The first roller includes a first track link rail engaging surface including a first concave arcuate surface defining a first concave radius of curvature. The interface includes a first track link including a first track link rail surface including a first convex arcuate surface defining a first convex radius of curvature that is less or equal to the first concave radius of curvature.

AUTONOMOUS SURFACE CRAWLING ROBOT

State of art techniques utilize active systems for stronger suction in surface crawlers while the passive approaches have limitation in providing consistent grip while moving across curved surfaces or dents. Embodiments herein provide an autonomous surface crawling robot for crawling over surfaces using electro-mechanical assembly for creating strong suction force and enabling the robot to smoothly crawl over flat surfaces, horizontal/vertical/inclined surfaces, curved surfaces, and surfaces with dents. Battery powered motors are used for only mobilization, while mechanical assembly generates suction to provide consistent grip across different type of surfaces. A dual flexible cam profile assembly including a cam profile and a guide rail generates required suction and addresses the technical challenge of maintaining suction across varying surfaces without using external power for suction generation. The dual flexible cam profile provides a robust, less prone to error or slippage type passive crawler mechanism, with consistent grip across uneven the surface.

Undercarriage assembly for a work machine and method of use

A work machine includes an undercarriage assembly. The undercarriage assembly includes a chassis and a ground-engaging mechanism for rotating around the chassis to move the work machine. A pair of rails is coupled to the chassis. A pair of sliders is coupled to a front-assembly. The sliders are aligned with the rails and movable relative to the rails to facilitate movement of the front-end assembly relative to the chassis.
