Method for forming an opened die-cut element, particularly for forming a wrap-around box of the tray plus lid type, and a cartoning machine
A main die-cut element is divided along a predefined division line to obtain a first die-cut element and a distinct second die-cut element. Glue is deposited on a first portion of one from between the first die-cut element and a secondary die-cut element and on a second portion of one from between the second die-cut element and the secondary die-cut element. The method includes forming an opened die-cut element of the tray plus lid type given by the combination of the first die-cut element and the second die-cut element, wherein these two elements are coupled to the secondary die-cut element, with the first die-cut element and the secondary die-cut element partly superposed and pressed to one another at the first portion and the second die-cut element and the secondary die-cut element being partly superposed and pressed together at the second portion.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR AUTOMATICALLY CLOSING BOXES WITH CARDBOARD LIDS
A method for automatically closing an open packaging box with a cardboard lid, said box comprising a polygonal bottom panel defined by three or more bottom panel edges and sidewalls joined over respective crease lines to said bottom panel edges, each sidewall forming a substantially right angle with the bottom panel, said lid comprising a polygonal top panel defined by three or more top panel edges and corresponding to the bottom panel of the box to be closed and flaps joined over respective crease lines to said top panel edges and adapted for being folded onto a corresponding one of said sidewalls, the method comprising a step of folding each flap along the respective crease line partially towards a position, in which the flap forms a substantially right angle with said top panel and placing the lid above said box such that the top panel and the bottom panel are substantially aligned and such that, seen onto each sidewall, each flap overlaps one of the sidewalls, a step of releasing the lid allowing it to be guided by the partially folded flaps into a position on the box, in which the top panel and the bottom panel are aligned, and a step of folding each flap onto the respective sidewall fully into said position, in which the flap forms a substantially right angle with the top panel.
Method and system for creating custom-sized packaging boxes and for automatically packaging items
Method and system for making custom-sized open packaging boxes from cardboard having a width W.sub.CBB and corresponding separate closing lids from cardboard having a width W.sub.CBL, the cardboard being continuously supplied to a system comprising structure for cutting, creasing and folding the cardboard to form custom-sized boxes and corresponding lids such that each box comprises a rectangular bottom panel having four edges, a first and a second rectangular end panel joined via respective crease lines to opposite edges of said bottom panel, a first and a second rectangular side panel joined via respective crease lines to opposite edges of said bottom panel, two first and two second rectangular corner panels, the first corner panels joined via respective crease lines to opposite edges of the first end panel, and the second corner panels joined via respective crease lines to opposite edges of the second end panel, each lid comprises a rectangular top panel having four edges, a first and a second rectangular end panel joined via respective crease lines to opposite edges of said top panel, a first and a second rectangular side panel joined via respective crease lines to opposite edges of said top panel, optionally two first and two second rectangular corner panels, the first corner panels joined via respective crease lines to opposite edges of the first end panel and the second corner panels joined via respective crease lines to opposite edges of the second end panel, said method comprising: a step of obtaining information on the desired minimum inner dimensions length L.sub.D, height H.sub.D and width W.sub.D of a box to be created, a calculating step of calculating the dimensions of the panels of a box and of the panels of a lid on the basis of the desired minimum dimensions taking into account predetermined optimization criteria, and a step of creating the box and the lid, wherein said calculating step comprises allowing the inner height of the side panels of the box to be smaller than the desired inner height of the box if (W.sub.D+2 T.sub.CBB+2H.sub.D)>(W.sub.CBB−M.sub.B), wherein MB denotes an optional minimum margin that is cut off at the sides of the cardboard supplied and wherein T.sub.CBB denotes a material dependent correction factor generally corresponding to the thickness of the cardboard used for the box, and/or if 2H.sub.D>L.sub.D and choosing the inner height of the side panels of the lid template so that the inner height of the side panels of the box plus the inner height of the side panels of the lid equals at least the desired height.
PHARMACEUTICAL PACKS COMPRISING HOLOGRAPHIC LIDDING MATERIAL, AND METHOD OF MAKING THE SAME
A pharmaceutical pack and the method for making the same are provided. The pharmaceutical pack includes a blister layer and a lidding sheet disposed over the blister layer. The blister layer defines at least one opening. The lidding sheet includes a first layer and optionally a second layer. The first layer includes at least one hologram, and is disposed on the second layer, which is a plastic film. The blister layer and the lidding sheet define at least one cavity so as to hold at least one pharmaceutical dosage form therein.

A container includes a first blank and a second blank. The first blank includes a plurality of panels foldably connected to one another and erected about an interior space, and a plurality of top flaps foldably connected to the plurality of panels to enclose a top end of the interior space. The second blank includes a bottom panel affixed to the first blank opposite the top flaps to enclose a bottom end of the interior space. The first blank includes a line of weakness pattern configured to allow a user to break the top flaps from a closed configuration enclosing the interior space to an open configuration allowing access to the interior space.

The invention relates to a blank of corrugated cardboard sheet material consisting of a first body (10) and a second body (11) of rectangular shape which are connected together by means of a line to be cut and designed for forming a set of a first belt and a second belt intended to form a box having a length L, a width W and a height H, the first and the second bodies having different widths and lengths and the line extending along the length of the first and second bodies, the first body (10) having a width (D1) larger than the length L and a length (D2) larger than at least twice the width W plus the height H (2W+H) and the second body (11) having a width (d1) larger than the width W or the height H and a length (d2) larger than the length L plus twice the height H or twice the width W.

PACKAGING
There is disclosed packaging (10) for edible product comprising a base component (12) and a separate lid component (14). The base component (12) is formed from a folded blank (28) and has an opening (20) which provides access to a hollow interior (32) for storing edible product. The lid component (14) is bonded to the base component (12) so as to close the opening (20) and inhibit access to the interior (32). The lid component comprises an access panel (18) which can be moved with respect to the base component (12) to open the packaging (10) and provide access to the interior (32) through the opening (20). There isinter aliaalso disclosed a method for manufacturing a packaged product.
Method and device for assembling height-adjustable box
A base sheet and a cover sheet are supplied, the height of at least one product which is placed on the base sheet is measured, and second fold lines are formed on the base sheet and the cover sheet such that the second fold lines are spaced from respective first fold lines formed on the respective side portions of the base sheet and the cover sheet and such that the space between each of the first fold lines and the corresponding one of the second fold lines is adjusted based on the value of the measured height of the product. The base sheet is folded, the base sheet and the cover sheet are arranged so that the base sheet crosses the cover sheet, the cover sheet is placed on the base sheet, and the cover sheet is folded to bond the cover sheet to the bottom sheet.
